Nope today is the first "chilly" day. And by chilly I mean in the 70s!

Ours turned on this morning for the first time! i have it set to go on if it hits 68 in the house. Wah
pomegranate / 3863 posts
We're in new England and haven't either! It's mild this week but going to get chilly over the weekend so I expect we'll turn it on then. Fleece sleepers have been our BFF's for DS!

Nope...SC is still pretty warm during the day and at night we like it cooler anyways.
coconut / 8854 posts
Nope! Our house was down to 53 this morning though, it was chilly!! I think the coldest it's been was 37 at night a few days ago. But now it's staying in the 50's at night. No heat for us yet!

Nope! It just got below 70 this week, so we turned our A/C off but no heat yet. It usually doesn't get to heater-weather until January.

We had a blizzard nearly 2 weeks ago and have had the wood stove (our primary heat source) burning since then.
persimmon / 1223 posts
We've had ours on for a few weeks. Actually I realized that I never turned it off over the summer and it just kicked on one morning when it got cold enough in the house.

We just did last night. DD's room has been getting into the 60's and has been waking up freezing
pomegranate / 3980 posts
We have for a few weeks now, it is regularly getting down to 32 plus or minus a few degrees with highs in the low 50s during the day. Too cold too soon!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
Nope! It's still averaging 68 here...and I'm pregnant so that means I am SWEATING. I keep the air on at home, in the car, and at the office. It's supposed to cool down a lot soon so maybe then. Although I can't imagine wanting to be WARMER right now. I'm frying!!

DH turned it on last week. Surprisingly, I've been much warmer than DH and he's been complaining of feeling cold. Maybe cause Aunt Flo was visiting?
pomelo / 5469 posts
Yes, last week. Though only in the evenings, as it's still warm in the day.

No way. We just got over the a/c bills, we have gone 2 weeks now without any air or heat! Woohoo electric and gas bills!! It has been mild here, though which has been wonderful. Last year it went from 90 to 50 in a day, it seems.
papaya / 10560 posts
Yes! It has been in 30s at night and so cold in ds room without heat. Love coming home to a warm house!
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
Yep! Some days it's that awful awkward time when the middle of the day it's super hot so you want to turn on the ac, but the middle of the night it's crazy chilly so you gotta turn on the heat.
pomegranate / 3160 posts
Not yet but I think I need to bite the bullet...I got up and it was 59 in the house...oops. I keep putting it off as DH is on the road this week, I'm gone at work from pretty much 6-5, and when I get home, I pretty much set up camp in bed (hey, I'm 37 weeks pregnant, don't judge!) for the rest of the night... I think come Sunday it'll be on for the winter!
persimmon / 1286 posts
ha! we still have the a/c on. our apartment is a good 10 degrees warmer than a house.
pear / 1812 posts
No. We are averageing mid 60's to low 70's. We are avoiding it just to save some money.
pomegranate / 3113 posts
Yes We put it off for awhile but we like to be comfortable at home and that now requires a bit of heat!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
It's been pretty chilly, but no heat yet. I think once it drops below 70, we'll turn it on.
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
I caved last night and turned it on. It's off again & my windows are open.
persimmon / 1128 posts
Not yet, but I'm in California where it's more a choice between AC or ceiling fans.
pomegranate / 3204 posts
Yes, we have had to only because LO's room gets so cold at night.
coconut / 8861 posts
We did last night because LO's sick with croup. He wore a fleece sleeper plus a blanket. We were worried about him being cold. I think I need a few more fleece sleepsacks for the winter since he's comfy in cotton sleepers.

Not yet. It's 80 today...because we supposedly have a cold front coming through. Ha. We have stopped running the ac at night and started using a blanket though.
eggplant / 11408 posts
Yep! The building heat has been on for a few weeks, but we have it turned way up, so it doesn't kick on. Right now, the windows are open, but it's supposed to be chilly this weekend!
pear / 1693 posts
Yes, twice to heat things up in the morning. But I'm a wuss when it comes to being cold.
