Truth is....I miss sleeping with my husband
I swear we have not slept in the same bed since I found out I was pregnant. We typically always get in bed together but one of us leaves at some point during the night and then a little before the alarm goes off we get back in bed together.
This stems from a few issues I think.
1) I'm currently 16 weeks and when I first found out I was pregnant I had horrible insomnia that lasted a few weeks so instead of keeping him up I would head to guest bedroom or living room and let him sleep.
2) my husband was laid off in May and I literally found out I was pregnant 3 days later. I think he has had trouble sleeping as well...stress?
3) Now that I'm over the insomnia I have found that I just cannot get comfortable either that or I have to pee! so I'm constantly up or tossing and turning. I'll be on my left side for 20 minutes then my right then my back only to repeat and I know I'm interrupting his sleep as well.
Since neither of us wants to wake the other one of us tends to leave and go in the guest room to continue our tossing and turning there. We've been sleeping in the same bed for roughly 4 years and have never had this problem before.
any suggestions on how to get a better night sleep together? has anyone else experienced this? I've been thinking maybe a pregnancy pillow would help? any suggestions on that?
