HOW my gosh. Some people. Seriously??? If it were me I'd probably say something like "well I'm pretty sure he's mine, I was there when he was born!" Ok... I might mention my vagina as well. Haha.

You know, even though we're all Asian and Wagon Sr. and I actually kinda look alike, I get "he looks NOTHING like you" a lot! I mean, I get that my son looks just like his dad, which is great since he's a Junior... but c'mon... I'd like SOME credit/connection please!!

UGH. People are stupid. And, for the record, I do think he looks like you! People just see the obvious things (like skin tone, etc) and don't look at the rest!

Ouch I'm sorry! I would definitely pull the vagina card! Or just give them a look of death and don't respond.

Yep, I got asked "where'd he come from" once. Fortunately, DH appeared beside me at that point and I didn't have to explain any further.

I just say "He looks like his dad" if I want to play nice. If not, I roll my eyes and walk away.

Haha my baby looks just like her dad and the last time someone said that I just said "that's god I heard its a evolutionary advantage to look like your dad so back in caveman days he didn't eat you."

I think the actual theory is so he didn't Abandon the baby and I have no idea if it's even true but it shut her up!

@dojo: I hope your mom replied with some part of her anatomy when people asked where you came from!

I hate those comments! Despite LO having the same skin tone and blue eyes as me, I get the 'oh wow, she looks nothing like you' comments all the time. :eyeroll: Yes, she looks exactly like her daddy, but give me a break!

LO isn't here yet but I'm dreading this. Sometimes I don't censor what comes out of my mouth towards rude people.

@mrs. wagon: This is exactly my situation (minus the Asian part). My husband and I look quite similar to each other but people are CONSTANTLY telling me my daughter looks just like him and looks nothing like me. I know they don't mean anything by it, but it hurts my feelings. After 12 hours of labor it was kind of a bummer when all the nurses were talking about how my LO was her daddy's mini me. One of my good friends came to town last night and when I introduced her to LO this morning she said "oh you look like your mama"... I almost cried in gratitude!

Our son doesn't look like either of us. DH and I both have brown hair and brown eyes. DS has blond hair and blue eyes. Doesn't matter who DS is with, we always get comments. DS just happened to get all the recessive genes!

DH gets this often. And the most rude comments coming from his extended family. Obvi DS looks korean, but it's annoying after the first or second time we hear it from the same ppl.

As he's getting older and changing, more ppl are saying that he's a krn version of his daddy. Before that, DH just rolled with the punches and took it.

I've actually been thinking that a lot more of you has been coming through lately!
I think it's incredibly rude for people to say things like that. I get it a lot too and some days it really gets me down.

Sadie doesn't look like either of us, and we hear it all the time. I guess people think we snatched her...?

RUDE. Who says something like that? I love being blunt with those types of people and calling them out on crappy things to say, like, "that's extremely offensive as I carried him for 9 months and gave birth to him" - it's my go to when DH's family says that my children look nothing like me.
