We're going on a flight later this year, and wondered whether headphones were necessary for your kids. If so, what kind do you have? I know there are some that limit the volume. Or was it so noisy on the plane that you didn't need them?

I got these low volume headphones for DD. http://smile.amazon.com/KIDdesigns-Sofia-First-Princess-Headphones/dp/B00FW4AKNG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1436214249&sr=8-1&keywords=Sophia+headphones
She didn't want to wear them because she was not use to it. We put her ipad volume down and no one complained.

I think headphones on airplanes are necessary when using electronic devices. Its courteous to other passengers (and to yourself). Maybe I'm biased because the last time I flew without my kids, I had the pleasure of listening to 3 hours of toddler videos and apps from someone else's kid.
We also have the kidz gear one (they come with a volume limiter). The have worked well for us and at least half a dozen friends.

We also have the kidz gear ones. They seem to work well for my 3 year old.
