Hi there! I am brand new here ... I just wanted to pop in to say hello, and introduce myself. I'm currently TTC (just starting), and I am so excited about this site. I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband, and it's such a great place to be starting a family ... Looking forward to connecting with others who love hiking, adventuring, photography, and it would be great to connect with other vegetarians/vegans (anyone??). It's been great reading through the boards, and I can't wait to meet you ladies.

Re: vegan: I'm not vegan, I follow a modified paleo diet, so I can relate to eating a diet that is different than the SAD (standard american diet). I was a nanny and one lady I worked for was a vegetarian and while she was pregnant she definitely had a hard time meeting her protein intake requirements... so keep that in mind for sure
She recommended this amazing pea protein powder (I don't eat soy so it was perfect for me!) that I put in my smoothies every morning while I was pregnant. It was delicious too.
