We watch Doctor Who (the new series, not the Classic), Sherlock, and The Wonder Years. Have you seen Six Feet Under? It's one of my all-time favorite series, and is one of the ones being released on Amazon Prime in a few weeks!
ETA: And Community, although we're a season or two behind. And Scrubs is a great one when we want to throw a random show on (we've seen them all).

@Mrs. Bee: I have a coworker who suggested Orphan Black! I watch downton abbey, I've cried during too many episodes for DH to watch with me

@babyjmama: Yep, and HBO show from 2001-2005 (and wow I suddenly feel old!) It used to be available on Netflix discs, but it's not streaming (but will be on Amazon Prime in a few weeks if you have that). It's a fantastic series (can be a bit heavy at times, but not nearly as much as BB, and it often has a deadpan humor (pun intended )

@babyjmama: I live in Texas now, but I'm a Michigander by birth (and would honestly go back if the opportunity presented itself). FNL is just a fantastic show - I love Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton. I actually got to be an extra in last episode of the first season. It was a blast.
Also, I second Modern Family. Hilarious!

There is a new show on Fox called "Surviving Jack". It's about a family with teenagers and it is set in the 90's. The clothing, pop culture references and music are so hilarious because I can totally remember wearing/listening to all that stuff! There are only 4 or 5 episodes so far, it just started....

@BlueWolverine: @babyjmama: I just watched the entire FNL series over the last few weeks of bed rest. Definitely recommend!
If you're looking for something light and funny, though, I recommend the League! You sort of have to have an inappropriate sense of humor to love it though!

We were watching the Following and Grimm and they are both good but we've fallen behind since LO was born. The comedies we like are kinda inappropriate but they are light and funny. The FX shows are the raunchiest but we love them.

@lovehoneybee: I couldn't get into six feet under for the longest time, which bummed me out because I never dislike anything HBO and so many people told me it's so awesome. So I gave it another try and am HOOKED. I'm already on episode 10 of season 1.
So, that's my vote. It really is great!!

@babyjmama: if you like Grimm you might like Once Upon A Time! It's a fairytale based storyline set in modern times with flashbacks to the fairytale lives of the characters. There's not a mystery plot point, but it's still very good.
