Holy sh*t. I just got a BFP at 9dpo, did NOT expect that. DH gets home in 2ish hours and I want to surprise him. I have a 'Big Sister' shirt for LO, but would love to do something more.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!!

I drew hints on our chalkboard wall and waited for my husband to notice and put it all together. It was fun.

How exciting! Congratulations. If your older one is verbal, you could just have her in the other room, tell him she has a special surprise for daddy, and videotape her telling him she's going to be a big sister.
I'm terrible at this stuff though. I told DH in a text message.

@Iced Tea: oooh, that's good! I don't think I could pull something like that together though, but thanks for the idea!
@Little Misters Mom: LO is halfway verbal and also in the "I'm not doing anything you tell me" phase, so I don't think that would work. Maybe I'll try, thanks!
I'm trying to make up for last time. Last time I just held pee sticks in his face while laughing hysterically...

@Anutka: congrats!
Blatant: Maybe when he comes in from work, assuming he hugs/kisses you say "oh be gentle I'm pregnant"
cheesy: stick a 'bun" in the oven and ask him to get to pan out of the oven and he will find the "bun in the oven"
Cute: Put the big sister shirt in the dryer and ask DH if he could please fold the stuff in the dryer for you

@Anutka: Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!
Hmmm....maybe you could buy some pickles and icecream and plop them on the table after dinner...telling him you picked up a special dessert?!
For this pregnancy, I gave my LO the positive test and had her take it to my DH and say "baby"...she actually followed my directions perfectly!
For my first pregnancy, I wrapped up a digital and a onesie and had him open it.

@Anutka: Haha I had LO hand him the stick and say "look at this daddy" she followed it up with her own take of "what is this daddy?"

@Mrs. J: @Mamaof2: @78h2o: @LuLu Mom: thank you!
In the end, I just let LO meet him at the door in the shirt. He read it out loud ("world's best sis") and it took him a few seconds to get it. I got it all on video, so it was pretty cute in the end.
I think he was a tad bummed that I didn't do it on his birthday on Saturday. I guess he doesn't understand poas-ing urges...
