I have loved the name Hudson for a middle name, but we are seriously considering it for a first name. DH likes it and I love the significance of it (I'm from the Hudson River Valley and LOVE the area I'm from), but for some reason I can't pull the trigger on it. (It's a little out of my typical traditional name box, but I do like it.) Sooooo....
(BTW I'd rather not hear reasons why you DON'T like it, so if it isn't your cup of tea, no need to let me know 
) But if you DO like it, what do you like about it? Do you know any LO's or adults with the name? Good associations? Like the sound, the vibe, etc.? Can you picture an adult with this name?

I am a fan of the name Hudson! I just think it sounds like a very strong, solid name. I can also imagine calling him "huds" or my little huddybuddy. I like nicknames though (I call Noelle my noelliebelly and Jaren myjarebear).

We have a friend with the last name Hudson but everyone calls him by his last name. So I totally think Hudson works for a first name too! It's basically how we're using it with our friend.

@Mrs.KMM: Yeah, I'm not generally a fan of the last name as first name thing, but I feel like Hudson is different because I more associate it with the river than a last name. So in that way, I feel it's like, Georgia, or Savannah, or something.

@travellingbee: Hudbug is a cute one!! I know a boy named Hudson IRL too - he is about 8 years old now. I've liked it since the first time I heard it. I think this name would grow into adulthood really well. It's not necessarily traditional/classic, but it's not made up or hard to spell either. I'm a fan!

I love it, and I know three Hudsons, all under the age of 2 (but spread out location wise). I love that it isn't offbeat or weird, but is more like a different, pleasant-sounding twist on more traditional name style. It's like classic but cool at the same time.

I know an adorable one year old that they just call Huddy. And it's so cute on him.I like it because it "fits" with this era of names with the "son" ending, Jackson, Anderson, etc but is a little different! It's the perfect goldilocks of a name. Not too popular not too weird/unique.

I like it too! It's fresh but classic as others have described. People probably won't be asking him how to spell his name but he hopefully won't be one of six in his class and be known as Hudson T. for the rest of his life. Or whatever letter your last name starts with.

It is the type of name that is cute for a little kid with the cute nicknames but will grow with him and be a good adult name.
I also like that it is easy to spell and he won't have to spell his name to everyone.
