I love our house, and I love that our nursery is really big and super bright due to two big windows… but it is SO awkwardly shaped. We really only have 1 big unobstructed wall, because the others are either tiny or have windows or the big closet.
The furniture we are going to have includes a crib, 4' wide bookcase, 5' wide dresser, and a glider with ottoman.
My big issue is-- our windows are only 24" off the ground so if we put something in front of them I fear it will look awkward. But I think either the crib or dresser will have to go in front of one of them because there is just no other way.
I'm attaching a blank mock-up I did of the nursery-to-be, a pic of it currently (its my home office, we are leaving the paint as-is), and two possible layouts.
My questions are:
1) Is it safe to have a crib in front of a window? I can't think of why it wouldn't be (our house is new and not drafty), but I never see them in front of windows
2) If so, which set-up do you like better?
3) OR do you have some magical other layout I haven't thought of?
