Before you met your deductible how much was a sick visit for your LO?
I realize it's probably different per plan. But just trying to get a rough idea. Thanks!

We paid about $150 for a fall down the stairs visit, and $100 for an ear infection visit.

@mrsjyw: high deductible plans don't have co-pays. You pay what the fee is to visit the doctor.
@locavore_mama: a lot of places will have reduced rates if you have insurance and you can call around to find places that have lower cost visits for those with high deductible plans.

@mediagirl: the office lady at my peds is annoying haha I don't want to call and find out how much a sick visit would be. Trying to figure out if it makes sense to switch her to my plan since the plan she's on covers everything.

@locavore_mama: you don't have to tell them who you are. Just say you are calling to find out the cost of a sick visit on "xx" health insurance high deductible plan. When I was on one (and when I have to get something that isn't covered by a co-pay now) I can spend up to a half day calling various doctors to find the cheapest rate.

No LO yet but I feel like every time I go to the doc it costs me between $100-200.

mine cost maybe $120.

85 for a sick visit usually.

We've had one sick visit with LO and our responsibility was about $110.
