What do you think of the current high/low trend for stuf like shirts, dresses, and skirts? Is that even what the style is called?

HA! We call it a mullet dress all the time. My mom wore a high low at my wedding 3 years ago and she looked lovely, but I doubt I'll be wearing it any time soon.

I think they look cute on some people...but ridiculous on me.

Yeah I can't get on board with anything with the term mullet in the name.

I have one "high-low" dress and I really love it because it just weirdly works for my body. But I don't plan to buy more.

I don't have any skirts or dresses. But I have a couple tops I bought recently, I love them! wearing one today actually.

I have a hi low denim shirt and love it! It looka best with leggins because the longer part covers my butt. I have a skirt and don't love it. Depends....

@MrsKoala: do you have a....big butt? Hahah I do! And Julie looks good on me because the long part hides the rear and then the short part shows off my slim legs. But the butt....man....

@TurtleDoves: I don't! DH actually jokes about how I don't have a butt. But I'm busty and the dress has a deep V, the waist hits right at my natural waist so I look skinny, and it shows off my legs!

@zippylef: Haha best description I've heard yet!
@prettylizy: See for a wedding I can understand it a bit more if it's not all short in the front.

I didn't realize this was a trend! I saw a shirt that looked cute and comfy on freepeople.com and bought it.

@chopsuey119: Maybe it's not a trend? I could just be assuming because I see so much of it at the store.
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@Boogs: No I think it's a trend. Lol. I just don't get out much.
Eh. I figure if I get tired of the low part I can always cut and alter.
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@chopsuey119: There's so many cute tops that I don't buy because of the trend and I tell myself I should just buy and alter. But honestly, I'll probably keep it in my closet and never take it to get fixed lol.

I like it and have a high low maxi that is so cute but DH thinks it's so dumb!
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@PrincessBaby: I have the hardest time finding cute maxis for a shortie!

I just bought 3 dresses like that for work. I like them. Mullet is an excellent description!

NOT into it. I think on the red carpet/runways maybe but it's not a really relatable fashion for me.

I remember when this was in style like....oh 10-15 years ago? Ok 15 years ago...but I had a skirt like that, I totally wouldn't wear one now though.
I definitely saw a girl wearing what appeared to be a "modern" version of the parachute pants. Shirt tucked in. Belted. Elastic ankles with flats. WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!

i have 2 dresses that have the high low style and I think they're fun. I'm not going to only buy that style since it's so trendy but I've gotten compliments on both.
This one is my favorite. It's hard to see but the dress goes above my knees in the front and below in the back.

I don't really buy any of the high/low stuff because I feel like it won't be in style next spring/summer and I like to get as much use out of my clothes as I can...I try to stay away from trendy stuff like that and stick with classic things.
