Just curious!
With DS, he was 1 week old when my husband went back to work and I was on my own with him for the first time.
With DD, I had both kids alone for the first time when she was 10 days old and DH went back to work.

Around 2.5 weeks old. He was born on a Wed and D had to go back to work the following Mon but my mom was here for 2 weeks after that. That first Mon by myself was terrifying...D worked a 14 hour shift!

DH went back to work when the twins were 10 days old. It was...an interesting day.

DD at 2 weeks.
Flew solo for the first time for 3-4 days when DS was around 3 weeks old.

2 weeks. DH went to work at one week (was supposed to start the day DS was born!) but his mom was there the next week to help me out. I was terrified of being alone with the baby!

With Ellie it was on the very first day. With Lorelei it was on day three.

One week for an hour or so. Two weeks for the entire day. It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated!

I think ten days. Dh went back to work on a weds or thurs, then we had the weekend, then my mom came followed by mil. So the first time for a full work week was at one month.

Three days...total meltdown the moment my DH walked out the door, of course. Good thing he was only gone for an hour!

Few days... he went back to work. I was alone at the hospital right away but not technically I guess.

Dh left the hospital as soon as I got to my recovery room since lo was born at night and didn't allow partners. I was released from hospital on monday night and was alone with Lo from the next morning when dh was at work. So basically straight away.

Dh went back to work at 2.5 weeks, but he left for an hour or so a few times before that. I built it up and thought it would be so much worse than it was, I actually think that's when I really started bonding with LO!

DD1 - DH had to go into work the day we got home from the hospital, so... Day 3? My mom didn't fly in til later, around Day 7-8 I think.
DD2 - My mom was around til Day 10, then DH took a week off, so I guess around Day 18.

She was two weeks when DH went back to work. At 7 weeks was his first traveling trip, gone for 5 days.

DH took off for a week for both of my boys. It was pretty difficult being on my own, especially with two.

DH went back to work part-time at 2 weeks so I was alone with M for long stretches of time. Either my mom or sister came for a few hours each day at first though, which made it SO much easier.
@Pirouette: Congratulations! The first week is the scariest / hardest.

With #1 I was alone with her most of the time since day 3 but with #2 it was a loooong time before I was actually alone with them because my sister was living with us and my mom came to visit for a few weeks.

The first day home so day 3. I convinced DH to go back to work that night at his 3rd shift job and he ended up being held at gunpoint! Should have just let him stay home haha

@MrsStar: he wasn't aloud to stay with you?! That is crazy. They had sleeping benches in all the rooms on the maternity floor.
Just after two weeks I was alone during the day but only for a few days. My mom was here the first two weeks and then a few days later MIL was here for a week.
At 6 weeks I did 10 days on my own. That was crazy!

19 days old....but he had been in the NICU for 17 days prior to that. DH worked while DS was in the NICU and took 2 days off when he came home. It was hell....

@ALV91711: Nope at my hospital, only women that had c sections (and therefore had their own room) got to have someone stay with them. LO was born at 10.56pm and once I got to my room on the ward with 2 other women I was left on my own with LO and I had no clue what I was doing!

@MrsStar: Yikes! My mom stayed with me the one night so DH could go home and sleep. And good thing because I had a hard time getting in and out of the bed with DS. I would have been scared to be on my own.

Dh went home from the hospital the first night and I was left with my screaming kid til about four am when a nurse came in and said I needed to take a break!

DH went home after J was born. I was pretty sick in the hospital for the next 4 days and DS had a collapsed lung. We didn't expect any of that to happen and had no one to care for our pets. Luckily, the hospital was walking distance from out house.
Aside from the help of doctors and nurses those 5 days, I was alone with J from the first night on.

I stayed in the hospital alone and sent DH home. Sooo...a few hours old! Ha!

Two weeks old. DH got sick after my labor and delivery, so he went to the ER and I was by myself with LO then. I remember being in awe of the nurses and baby photographer who could swaddle LO perfectly so he would sleep.

Both around the one week mark. I think it was actually harder the first time around...

Well I spent a night at the hospital alone with DD! I kind of meant on your own like a whole day by yourself but the other answers are interesting!
@Baby Boy Mom: I think it was harder the first time around too!

@Running Elley: oooh oops. In that case I think it was when she was 3 weeks and dh went back to work!

I'm not exactly sure because for some reason, I didn't write it down. But I think it was before she turned 3 months old.

Well LO was in NICU for 10 days. I spent every day with him at the hospital and DH went back to work. Once LO was released, DH stayed home with us for 6 weeks.
