DD was three weeks old when DH went back to work and I started spending all day alone with her. It was so nerve-wracking! The following weekend, he took a gig that required him to leave the house in the morning and not return until about 2am. When he got in, I was sobbing hysterically - not good.

C was 2/2.5 weeks old.

She was six days old. I was too scared to put her down I held her the whole day.

DH didn't stop work aside from the night I delivered. The first day home from the hospital he was working (& I was so out of it I didn't realize I left my cellphone in the hospital room, called my mom on skype to call the hospital and then DH, lol). -
1 week here also.

@MrsF: thanks!!! I thought I'd be terrified but I was ok! So much better with dh around though.

my husband left us in the hospital to let the dog out and do some work - probably for 5 hours. it *felt* like forever. Then he had to work out of state when L was about a week old.

2 1/2 weeks old! She was in the NICU for the first 6 days, and then my mom and MIL took turns staying with me the next week, so it was when they went back to work, I was on my own.
