I watch it for a good laugh sometimes. In all seriousness though, they really do seem to be a family that loves and cares for one another and truly enjoys each other's company! lol

You can't be hating on Honey Boo Boo! And a comparison to the Kardashians is just not fair to HBB and her family . . . they may be uncouth, but that's about the worst of it! If you can see past the farting and the twangy slang, they genuinely seem to love and care about each other.

It's true though - I have seen it, and they are actually really genuine, fun people.

FWIW, the background is she was a very popular cast member from "Toddlers and Tiaras", so HBB is actually a spin-off.

@MsLipGloss: Totally agree. I do watch the show, but I find them sort of endearing? To me they aren't anywhere near as low as the Kardashians/Real Housewives. I read a report that TLC offered to either buy them a new house or give them money for a down payment and they turned it down because they love their little house by the train tracks. I sorta love them

I don't watch it, because it makes me uncomfortable how it seems to be a show making fun of them. I have heard great things about how the mom raises her kids though, and how she hasn't taken any of the money made from the shows and their 'fame', but instead has put it all away for the future. That's refreshing to hear for a change!

I dont watch her show but I did see her when she was on toddlers and tiaras, she is awful and so is her family. Plus she would drink red bull concoctions at such an early age.

This show makes me super angry, as does "Toddlers & Tiaras". I don't necessarily blame them for taking the TV deal (if you needed the money, who wouldn't??), but I can't STAND TLC for even offering it to them. And since I think watching them only encourages the network, I refuse to do it.

Incidentally, did you see this about France voting to ban child beauty pageants? Seems they don't like the phenomenon, either:

I love Honey Boo Boo! Under all the grossness, they are a caring sweet family. They do charity work, they spend time together. They are a lot better than some families.

I had to look up what it was after i saw ads for it on my Maternity leave. I was so grossed out. I can't believe people watch it.

I remember one episode where June talked about how she was disappointed that her daughter was going to be a teen mom and how she had gone through that and had hoped for a better future for her kids. It was heartbreaking and real. They have so much love and support for one another. And that sugar bear loves and supports the older three girls like they were his is so nice.
Unfortunately I have a tough time with belching and can't watch, but I'm very much on team honey boo boo.

I don't watch the show, but I do prefer their family to the rest of the Toddlers and Tiaras crew- they may not be rich, but they love each other and seem happy, that's all that really matters to me.

I guess I don't see it too far off from Duck Dynasty- now that show is my new not so guilty pleasure!

From what little I've seen (maybe 2 episodes), it is obvious they love each other but I just cannot get past the gross factor so I don't watch the show.

They seem like very sweet people, but I can't get over the gross factor! I saw one episode of them eating 'sketti', and I could never watch again!

@lemondrop: OMG - Si! When he was talking about laser eye surgery and he said, "What is this, Star Wars?" And of course, "That's a fact, Jack!"

That show just disgusts me. I've seen commercials but will never watch it.
