Thinking of you!!! I went into unexplained preterm labor at 30w and delivered at 30w5d and now I have a very active and healthy 2.5 year old! I'm currently pregnant with #2 and the irony is she is three days past due so far. Hang in there you are doing great!!!

@bluestriped bee: 1) I'll pm you the contact info. 2) Magnesium probably saved Dylan's life, but my docs would not let me stay on it after my water broke. 3) For me, the night I went to the hospital I was in denial. Day 2 was probably the worst day of my life...when I realized my life just stopped on a dime and I wasn't leaving the hospital. But work and the nursery and all of the other stuff...it just gets done. I had my shower a couple of months after Dylan was born. It wasn't the same cheery affair, but it was really sweet having actual pictures of him at the shower. So really hang in there the next couple of days. If it happens quickly, the babies won't be coming home for quite awhile and you'll have plenty of time to get everything together. So basically, don't worry about anything besides yourself and your babies.
Wishing you lots of luck. Glad you got the steroid shots. They really work wonders and like @MsMini said, 28 weekers typically do really well.

Thinking of you and those precious babies! Hope they will stay in there as long as possible. Don't worry about anything else, especially the nursery. My baby slept in her rock and play next to our bed for the first couple of months. Keeping you and your babies in my thoughts and prayers for their safe arrival.

Oh man! Glad to hear you're still in good spirits (and yes, I totally think of the HS dance when I read PROM). Hoping the babies keep baking, but you're comfortable as well. 6 weeks in hospital bed rest doesn't sound fun!

Oh no! Glad that you went in to be checked! I know it must be hard to be facing such a long hospital stay but you are doing the best you can for those babies! Start binge watching fun shows on Netflix.

I am thinking of you and praying for that the babies will stay in there, nice and healthy, till 36 weeks! I can't imagine how crazy it is to suddenly loose all the time you thought you had, so I hope mentally/emotionally you are okay too! I guess your DH will just have to do everything...

@bluestriped bee: Yeesh, how scary. BEST OF LUCK with your bed rest and I will be rooting for 34 week babies!!!

@bluestriped bee: wow, hang in there! Hospital bed rest is tough so take care of yourself mama.
Also as a side note since you've done all the research, technically you have PPROM (pronounced pea-prom to those in the business!). Preterm premature rupture of membranes. PROM just means ruptite before labor, you could be 40 wks and PROM if you aren't contracting.

@MenagerieMama: Ahh, cool. I did see PPROM out there once or twice but didn't know what the difference was. Thanks!!

I'm so sorry! I know how hopefully you were to keep those babies in there until the end of September. Thinking of you!
I know two people who were put on hospital bed rest. One was in for 6 weeks before she delivered and the other was in about two. Both were pregnant with singletons.

@bluestriped bee: Hi there - I have a similar story - my water broke at 28 weeks (although I wasn't carrying twins). I showed up at the hospital and was also told we were staying there until baby came - which he did at 31 weeks 1 day. He is now a healthy, awesome 18 month old. PLEASE reach out to me if you'd like to chat about the ANYTHING at all. I remember vividly being where you are now. I got lots of reassuring information, so please let's be in touch. (I have no idea how to send you a private message with my email address - maybe you can send one to me?). I hope to hear from you!
