I know about avoiding the use of hot tubs during pregnancy, but what about how showers?

Hit showers are fine. You're not raising your body temperature like you do when submerged on a hot tub or bath. Omg I looooved my long hot showers while pregnant. Letting that hit water pelt your aching back is heavenly.

Hot showers are fine. I loved me some of those. I have to admit I did take hot baths though.

My doctor advised me against hot showers. She said if my skin is turning red, then it is too hot. I love piping hot showers so it was so sad to skip those and hot baths during pregnancy.

I've taken hot baths for my entire pregnancy. Never to the point of turning my skin red but I definitely didn't adjust the temperature because of the pregnancy. If I felt like I was getting too warm, I got out.

@Mrs. Sunglasses: I did too but I had my floating thermometer in there to make sure it didn't go over 99.9. Yes, I made to sure to keep it as hot as possible, under 100.

@mediagirl: ya. no thermometer here. I'm sure the water was above the allotted temp. so bad of me.

My doctor said you can take them as hot as you want but to avoid baths over 100 and no hot tubs
