For those that have stayed at a hotel near the Falls. Which one did you stay at? Were you happy with the accommodations?
US or Canadian side?

Embassy Suites (canadian side i think). We really liked it. Great views but parking is down the street.

We just stayed at Embassy Suites this weekend (It is on the Canadian Side)! It was very nice. We had a falls view room. There was an included breakfast that was actually pretty good (go before 9:00am though!). You have to pay for WiFi though ($10 a day) which kinda sucks.
My only real complaint is it is kinda far from "the strip" (where most of the action is). It's like a 10 minute walk, but it sucks in -20C weather!! In the summer, it'd actually be nice.

We also stayed at the Embassy Suites on the Canadian side (May 2012). It was pretty good. We had a falls view room. Breakfast was good — lots to choose from (but agree, go before 9am). Lots of families around.
We didn't mind being far from the strip — we actually didn't end up there much, and preferred just going down to the falls and walking around. I was around 9-10 weeks pregnant and so sick, and it was hot when we went (May long weekend), so we weren't doing anything too adventurous.
Parking is a little far away, so we ended up paying for valet parking just for the convenience.
ETA: We also got food vouchers with our reservation — including for The Keg, which is in the hotel. Remember to account for massive markups at restaurants in the area when you're planning your trip...chicken fingers at TGIFs were $20 CDN. Yeesh.

I think Sheraton has a ruth Chris steakhouse DH wants to try.We just want to stay at the hotel and maybe get a couple's massage!

@locavore_mama: I work in the business and most hotels exclude Saturday nights from their packages on deal sites but try checking the hotels actual website for promos. Alternatively, everything is less busy if you can go on a Friday night or a Sunday night instead!

I've heard the Canadian side is much more developed and safer!
