Dh and I share the same religion and political views, but we differ on our football teams. We went to rival schools and football season is full if competition in our house. We try to be good sports around lo and she is only allowed to wear a shirt that is half and half, not just one team so the other person doesn't get mad.
Do you and your so have a house divided on things like religion, politics or football? How does it effect how you raise your lo?

YES. he is a redskins fan, and i love the cowboys. we will never compromise. i'm not sure what's in store for our children!

I am a Yankees fan and Mrs. Bee doesn't really care. She roots for the Lakers though, which I just can't do!
The Nets stadium just opened a few blocks away here in Brooklyn though, so maybe we'll both be Nets fans.

Thankfully DH is putty in my hands so I can mold him to whatever, not really a good thing. And I kind of hate football.

Not really, but DH is set on raising a Raiders fan. Good thing I don't care too much and we both like the Pens when it comes to hockey.

I've been a Lions fan since before I was born, DH never watched football until I came into his life. LO is a Lions fan now. We aren't divided on much really, although sometimes spending can be an issue. I'd prefer to buy more things, DH is a saver.

@prettylizy: our family is the opposite. I have never watched football until I met DH, he has been a Vikings fan since in the womb. And now I'm an extremes fan and have been to 5 nfl games in the last two years.

Actually every time I've gone I've had horrible anxiety attacks... Not so fun. Although I did like going to a pro baseball game because I got an ice cream sundae in a tiny twins plastic baseball cap. And it fit my cat perfectly!

DH is an Eagles fan, I'm a Steelers fan. Not a big deal, you say, because they're in different conferences and only play each other every few years? NO.
DH threw a FIT the other day when i broached the subject of our (*unborn*) son eventually wearing Steelers gear. He INSISTS that no son of his will wear Steelers gear, and he'll throw it away if it comes into the house. I told him that was fine, but I do the laundry so to not be surprised when the Eagles stuff stays dirty & stained. He appears to have backed down a bit but I am fully expecting it to be an issue, particularly once football season rolls around next year (LO is due right before this year's Super Bowl.)
btw wish me luck b/c i'll be the ONLY Steelers fan at my BIL & SIL's house next week!!!! I would think they wouldn't heckle a pregnant lady, but they ARE Eagles fans.

House divided over here. Texas rivalry at its finest! It's a running gag in our home. I swear, every time I turn around he has changed LO out of her darling burnt orange jersey into some tacky maroon item.

Same page religiously but we're divided politically ... but thankfully he's fairly moderate on his side, which helps me resist strangling him if/when he tries to bait me into talking politics.
We're divided on college football, but his team always sucks so it's not a big deal 
And I simply can't muster the energy to care about the NFL or NBA.

We're on the same page when it comes to politics and religion, but oh man, not for football. DH is an Eagles fan, I'm a Ravens fan. They played each other two weeks ago. This is what happened to our poor daughter.
