I don't think I've ever seen decorations at a housewarming party other than maybe a nice floral arrangement, so I wouldn't worry about decorations.

Costco food - since the party hours are so long, I suggest food that can be served at room temp or you can put in a bowl of ice to keep chilled.

I love the Tex-mex Gouda dip with crackers. It's like fancy pimento cheese. Hummus and veggies. Fruit tray.

Queso and chips is always a big hit around here if you have a crockpot to keep it warm in. My neighbors make one with a package of Jimmy Dean sausage (cooked), a block of Velveeta and a can of Rotel tomatoes that is always popular at our block party. Just put in the crockpot and stir occasionally until it's all melted together.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: Do you have a Wegmans nearby or a grocery that has an olive bar? A super easy app is getting plain or garlic naan bread, and I get mozzarella/tomato salad from the Wegmans olive bar. Slice up the mozzarella and tomatoes on the naan, pop it in the oven until the cheese melts and it's an instant flatbread! I've also done this with grilled chicken and BBQ sauce with different cheeses.
