My doctor estimated over 8 lbs at my last ultrasound, and I didn't believe her because everyone I knew had a baby overestimated by like a pound.
But she was right! Charlie was indeed 8 lbs 6 oz.
How accurate was your doctor?

Right on. Off by an ounce the first time, three ounces for my second.

Way off.....with my second they (4 different doctors) all said between 7-8 lbs, definitely under 8. Boy were they shocked when baby was just under 9.5 lbs!

First one she was way off (she estimated 2 pounds under what she was, she was almost 9 pounds, she guessed 7) and she was spot on for #2.

Underestimated, but only at a (very quick) U/S when I was in labor. They estimated 7'4, and he was 8'12! They are currently projecting 7'5 for this one, but we're taking it with a grain of salt

Awful. They said DD was 9 1/2 lbs. She was 7 lbs 2 oz when she was born.

They guessed average (7.5 pounds), but I didn't have a late growth ultrasound. He turned out to be 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

My OB refuses to even estimate because he said that they are so inaccurate. He said it is basically just a random guess.

Pretty badly underestimated. We were told she was 4lb a week before she was born. She came out 5lb7oz. You should have a poll!

They estimated 7.5 when I was in the hospital in labor, and she was 8 even. So, pretty close.

Very close! They estimated 8 lbs, and my LO was 8 lbs 2.5 oz born at 39+6

During the last ultrasound, it was estimated that my son was almost 8lbs. He was born the next week at 6lbs 5 ounces.
