We have two spare rooms. One is actually being used as a spare room and is about 12 x 12 and carpeted. The other is used as an office and is 10 x 10 with really nice hardwood. It doesn't have a closet, but DH said he can add one easily. I'm wondering if it's just going to be too small though!

Ours is 10x10, with a closet. The size is totally fine for our 1 LO...when we have #2 it might get cramped (they'll share a room for a while).

10x10 plus a closet.
Would your husband be building the closet within the room or taking square footage from another space? 7.5'x10' is very small for a bedroom.

All three of our rooms are 10x12. The three boys share one my daughter is in one and we have one. I wish the boys room was a little bigger. We have two bunks in there ans its a little cramped but we make do. My daughters room is just fine though. Nice and roomy with just one crib in it.

I think ours is about 10x11 or so, also, with a small closet. Even if we didn't have a closet, a tall narrow dresser (we actually have a 'lingerie dresser' in there) would work! I really try to rotate out old clothes that don't fit, so we don't have a ton of clothes in there.

It's around 10x11 with a closet. There's a lot of junk in there right now while we are putting things away/up, but I think it will be okay. It was spacious before we got gifts, but I'm still working on getting them washed, organized, and put away.

It's 10x10 not including a little alcove for his closet. It's plenty of space for one LO.

I think ours is 12x12 with a closet, and way too much space!! All 3 of our bedrooms are gigantic for what they are (our master bedroom is the same size as our living room!) and I so wish I could make it into 4 small bedrooms.

ours is huge. I think her room is as big/bigger than our master. We have two huge bedrooms in our house and two smaller ones. I wanted her in the bigger room because we have a nook for her rocker and bookshelves. She has room to crawl around and play!

The biggest issue for us was layout. We didn't want to put the crib under a window (draftiness) so that only really left one open wall. Then it really didn't leave a good corner for the glider/ottoman. It felt really cramped in there just because of how we had to lay it out.

Our nursery was huge, but my son's bedroom now is smaller. I found that in the first year, I didn't really need the closet, in fact, there wasn't one in the room and I did an armoire instead. It was more than enough for what we needed, in case you're not sold on adding a closet.

All our bedrooms are about the same size, I want to say about 12x14? I haven't measured since we moved in so I'm not exactly sure, but it still feels spacious and not crowded at all with a crib, dresser, bookshelf, and glider in there.
Is a closet a necessity in your nursery or could you get some sort of armoire/cabinet instead?

10x10 with a small closet. I wish there were more room for a toy chest and a twin bed. I think if I got rid of the glider and ottoman it could be do-able...

It's 11x13 with a big closet. Totally big for a nursery, but it will be a shared room eventually and I think it's a good a size for that.

Ours is weird -- like 8 by 14 or something like that. Long enough but narrow. No closet (originally intended to be an office) so we got a tall storage cabinet from Ikea. The room is perfectly fine for a little one -- dresser, crib, glider and add'l storage fit great.

The room that will be a nursery is 11x10. It had a walk in closet.
