There's a glorious amount of snow outside and I think I'd like to take E out, but it's 17, which isn't super horrible, but with a wind chill of -7 (and I can see the wind blowing some snow around). Too cold to take him out for a little bit?

It's the wind that always freaks me out. In the front pack you can kind of protect their faces...it's -7 with a wind chill of about -20 and we arent going out.
I took her out when it was 15. Wool, fleece, down bunting, and a windshield on the stroller. 20 minute walk. Her face was cold, but she was warm otherwise.

I'm in celcius... But generally anything below -10C and I keep lo inside. The past few days we've had extreme windchills of -40. It's brutal!!

Too cold with that windchill! If it weren't windy I would say go for it, but otherwise stay inside!

Depends on how long you'll be out for, but I think if you bundle your LO up nice and warm (hat, gloves, etc), he should be okay.

If there weren't a windchill I'd say go for it. With wind, it's never fun for us.

Well, I did, for 5-10 minutes (long enough to slowly go get the mail). He was fine, temp wise, but couldn't walk well in the snow (plowed parking lot here) so was very unhappy.

Yay!
-5 wind chill here and I let my 3 year old go out for about 15 min, but kept the baby inside!

So cute! It is so, so cold today where I am! We went out to the car and that was about all we could handle.

We had 3 days in a row where the high was < 0F and we only went outside for errands! It stunk!

We go out for a bit almost every day, even if it's only for a few minutes. She LOVES the snow, and usually cries when its time to come inside.

I went outside and almost died. <--- total exaggeration. I tripped and fell on a tree stump. I let my 2.5 year old play outside in the snow for about 10 minutes.

I'm all about going outside no matter what! I'm glad you took your LO out

When is 17 not too bad?!?!?! Granted, I'm from Texas; but that statement just seems outrageous to me lol

Meh. I'm glad to see you went for it! I took Lorelei out for a while yesterday and the actual temp was below zero. There wasn't really any wind, though. Usually if it's really windy is when I say no thanks.

Nope. Heck, it's supposed to be a high of 25 and low of 8 on Tuesday and I am seriously contemplating calling in!LMAO! If it was the only time he got out, I'd go to the mail box and back, but that's it.

It was negative ten here today (not including wind chill) and I felt bad putting my dogs outside

We had similar temperatures here, and I wasn't going to take LO outside, but he was so fussy I knew he needed some fresh air. So I put an under-onesie, a long-sleeve onesie, a thick sweater, and a snowsuit on him (with mittens under the snowsuit hand covers), put him in the stroller and put the rain cover over it to protect against the wind. He was happy as a clam, and so much better when we came back to the apartment.
