I always got confused over how Six Feet Under worked... who could see dead people again? Were they really dead people, or was it just the person's imagination?
I've heard so many great things about this show, but every time I watch it, I get a little confused about what's real and what's not. I think I need to just watch it from the beginning!

I haven't watched that show in forever and I never finished it... but I always thought it was like conversations they were having with the dead person in their own brains?

Hm. Can't remember if Claire did. But Nate always saw the dad but David typically saw all the dead people he embalmed. The mom would occasionally see dead people if she went downstairs.
I don't think you ever really know if it's all in their head or not. Kinda part of the show.

I think it was more like they were daydreaming scenarios and conversations like some people do when they people watch. They really didnt know much about the people they were working with other than how they died and they related that to what was going on in their lives. Like they found it therapeutic. The series finale of that show was one of the best finales I've ever seen. They really stuck with the formula to the end and brought everything full circle.

@Chillybear: the thing I loved about SFU is the producers were smart enough to realize when it was time to end the show. So they wrote an amazing ended and didn't drag it out to squeeze more cents out which always just ends in pissing off the fans! I wish more series did that.
@mrbee: You should watch from the beginning! It's a hard show to follow in bits & pieces.

@regberadaisy: I also found one of the brothers to be annoying. Or maybe it was that one brother's gf. I can't remember, but it's why I stopped watching.

@regberadaisy: I honestly thought they could have ended it sooner, they started to get really weird in the 5 & 6th season. however, I REEEALLY loved the finale and it is by far my fav.
@mrbee: I have to agree with @Chillybear: . I don't think they actually "saw" any dead people. It was just David, I agree that it was his way of coping with the events happening in his life. He was "talking" with the dead people and it was therapeutic for him. I mean, I can tell you that if I worked in a morgue/funeral home, I would talk to the dead people too.

Oh, they definitely saw ghosts; many people do. If you have a very heightened sixth sense, you will as well.
