I met DH through his brother and SIL, who are good friends with my sister and BIL. I never thought he was my type (he has tattoos/I'm girly), but we met one Thanksgiving when I was in town, and the rest is history! How did you meet your SO?

We met at the college/young adults group at church.... Were friends for two years before dating!

I was housemates with his best friend since junior high and his (BFF's) GF. DH had gone through a rough breakup earlier that year, and decided he needed a clean slate, and decided to move to Philly, where a lot of his friends lived. We had a spare bedroom, and he needed a place to stay, so he moved in. We started off pretty casual...a FWB sort of thing...but we've lived together the entire time we've known each other, lol.

At a random party in college.

We met on holiday in China! We were on the same small group tour and spent 3.5 weeks traveling through China together, surviving food poisoning, the 'black lung' (grossest cough in the world from the pollution), monkey bites, rabies shots, and days without showering. And then we had to make an Australia-America long distance relationship work....but it did and here we are, four years later!

My BFF IMd a guy she worked with to ask if he had any single friends. This was DH's BFF. He asked a bunch of questions about me and thought DH and I would hit it off. So him and his wife threw a party one night. My friend was in charge of getting me there. We started talking without knowing we were suppose to meet each other and never left each others side the whole night. Best party ever! Funny thing is both of us were hungover and sunburn and weren't in the mood to even go to the party.

We went to the same high school. He actually asked me out in the 10th grade and I turned him down. We ended up connecting after we graduated.

We belonged to the same temple our whole lives but didn't meet until I was 25 because he's five years older than me. We have mutual friends and he was with them at services one night.

@mrbee: haha no...his BFF was just a guy (J) that I lived with (platonically, shared a house with). J's GF at the time also lived there. J also played the processional at our wedding and his now ex-FI was my MOH.

We met on a Spring Break camping trip our senior year of high school. We got invited separately by mutual friends. Long story short, we ended up curled up under the stars in a sleeping bag in the back of our friend's truck.
The next week, he asked me to senior prom and the rest is history.

We met on a movie set. It was an independent film. He was cast as my boyfriend. He also worked with and was friends with my stepdad. My stepdad encouraged my DH to sign up for the movie because he wanted us to meet.

We met at a mutual acquaintance's birthday party - I knew her through my friends from college and he went to high school with my friends. He had just moved back in town after being away for college and grad school in North Carolina

We met through work. He was working at an out of town office (while in college) and he caught my eye at a company mixer so I introduced myself. He ended up transferring into my office and I was his manager for awhile right after we started dating.

We had a mutual friend and DH added me on MySpace one night through her page after we had briefly met that day. He sent me a message and we started talking. That was 7 years ago as of a couple of weeks ago!

Eharmony here too! We both met within a week or two of signing up. We had an 8 hour long first date and have been inseparable since!

Through my cousin. I was down in Texas for an internship, he was up in Dallas from Houston for a summer of fun with friends. We both "stayed" at my cousin's house so after 3 months of eh, whatever with each other, we started really talking.

Through a friend of a friend - literally! I was in town to visit a friend and one of her friends was also coming to visit. My friend's friend was also going to visit one of her friends who was throwing a house party, so she invited me and my/her friend to go. I met DH (a friend of my friend's friend's friend) that night.
