I'm 5 weeks and 3 days, and have had waves of nausea two out of the last 3 days. I haven't thrown up. Today I've felt pretty nausea-free and it made me wonder, does m/s fade in, or did you wake up one morning and BAM you had unmistakable m/s?

I had just nausea too and also heartburn with my second. Like one day it just started and didn't end until my second trimester, thankfully! Although, the heart burn was on and off throughout my second pregnancy.

how bad is the nausea? I guess I'm worried I'm faking the nausea because I want it as a reassurance that things are going well... Oy. When I have my waves of nausea I sweat and feel like I can't talk... seems real but I'm so used to ttc symptom spotting I just feel insane! lol

@knittylady: My nausea wasn't bad at all. Usually drinking juice or soda made it pass.

Mine came in waves around 6 weeks and stayed until 12 when it went out in waves. I was worried at some points that when it waned, something was wrong, but I'm 33 weeks and fine!

Mine gradually faded in around 5 weeks and stuck with me until 9.5 weeks, where is suddenly disappeared.

Mine started off as waves and feeling like I could throw up but didn't... then it really started to hit. You might be lucky though! Congrats on your pregnancy!

The first week was random waves, then it picked up to frequent nausea until it turned into all day nausea- can't smell anything or I want to throw up. But it did ease up and by end of first tri was pretty much gone.

@knittylady: My nausea started exactly how you're describing. Once I hit 6 weeks I was heaving/throwing up bile (ewwwww) every morning. I started getting really nauseous at night too- right before bed.

my experience was a lot like @Running Elley - nausea until middle of the 6th week, and then the throwing up/heaving/bile fun started. the sickness lessened a little bit around week 11 (mostly just nausea for a week or so), but then came back with a vengeance around week 13 and lasted until week 17.
