My parents met in college. My mom's cousin wanted to set her up with my dad, but she kept saying no. Then they met at a bar.
DH's parents met on the train in NY. They used to take the same train every day.

They met as kids...My mom had a friend. Friend had an older brother. He was my dad. They were neighbours and went to the same school.

My mom was working at the power plant that my dad worked at so they met through work. A little while later, my mom was working at a CVS (I think?) and my dad came in and they were talking. My dad has his pilot's license and my mom said she had always wanted to fly, so their first date was in my dad's small plane! I told my mom that she had a lot of trust lol

My mom and dad met at a baseball field when they were in high school. Dad asked mom if she wanted to go for a ride in his car, being 15 she fell for it haha and he had a picture of his then GF taped up to his dash, rocky start to say the least!My
DH's parents met at school as they were only a grade apart, and grew up next to each other all through school.

My mom and dad took the same subway to HS and they may have had some overlapping friends. But on New Years Day my mom and her friend were having a contest on who could kiss more boys at the Mummers Parade. My Dad was there watching his brother perform in the parade and my mom laid one on him. A couple days later he called my mom to ask her out that night and she told him "no...to call at least 3 days in advance for a date." They were 16 and 17.

My parents met at a Vocational school here in the cities. She asked him what he was eating for lunch, he said, "Elk", she heard "Kelp" and was grossed out. Fortunately, they kept talking!

Dad was playing the piano, mom rushed into the choir room because she was late for a rehearsal and thought it was the choir director starting without her!
She opened the door, saw my dad. Dad saw my mom with the light coming in from behind her and thought she was an angel.
Love at first sight for him! lol -
I love this story and only learned the second part of it (them getting married) a few years ago.
A relative of my dad's owned an island resort in Korea and my mom was visiting there with friends. Apparently my dad and his friends started hanging out with my mom and her friends, and one night he stood outside her window with a guitar and serenaded her with some song like "can you come out tonight" (some Korean song). They ended up hanging out but my mom and her friends were scheduled to leave the next day... but after leaving, she came back, alone, to hang out with my dad until he left the resort!
Apparently they became friends (but still weren't dating) and then my dad's mom burned her arm really badly. She hates hospitals so my dad asked my mom to come and dress the wound every day, and since my mom was a nursing student she agreed.
Apparently during this process they'd go out to dinner a lot... again, still not really dating... and my mom told my dad that she was planning on moving to Germany after graduation with a bunch of her friends. Apparently Germany recruited a lot of Korean nurses back in the day. My dad was planning on moving to the USA in the fall and he had a student visa. My mom told him that one of her friends just dropped out of going to Germany because her fiance married her and he had a student visa to the states, too, so he took her with him. My dad said "let's do that!" My mom was totally freaked out and immediately said no since, well, they weren't even dating yet!
My mom went home and told her mom about my dad's proposition... and her mom urged her to accept it because she LOVED my dad. Apparently my dad was very handsome, smart, and charming. (still is!) So I guess my mom said yes, they got married REALLY quickly and moved to the USA together!

They met in junior high. My mom was a bookworm and my dad was a troublemaker and they mutually despised each other! They ran into each other after college and started dating!

They met in high school. My mom was a cheerleader and my dad was a football player. From what I've been told they had a crazy relationship. They got pregnant, married, had me, and got divorced in less that two years.

They were set up on a blind date by a mutual business aquaintance, they dated for a few months and got married, then got pregnant with me (honeymoon baby)!!

My mom was dating my dad's best friend. The day she met my dad, she called her family and told them she met the man she would marry, so she broke up with the friend and got together with my dad. She was right - they just celebrated 41 years married!!

They met at a party that mom really didn't want to go to. Her friends dragged her there and she ended up meeting Dad there. After 39 years, they're still extremely happy together.

My parents met and married in Germany. My mom was a bartender and sang in a rock band, my dad was in the Air Force and working at the base there. They met at her bar, got married, honeymooned in Paris, all before either set of parents met their child's spouse! My dad got sent on a temporary deployment to Florida, so he decided to stop by and meet my mom's parents, alone, without my mom. Luckily, they are like the sweetest people on the planet, so it worked out.
Two years later they got transferred to the USA, and had me! -

Got engaged 3 months later, married about 8 months after that and have been married now for 36 years!
