Our lo goes to daycare but after we get home in the evening? All I can do is lie on the couch and pray 7pm comes soon. WE let her watch more TV than normal and if one of us is feeling better than the other, that parent takes her out to eat. So bad.

I delegate to Mickey Mouse and Doc McStuffins. And I don't feel guilty about it AT ALL.

Eh, what else are you supposed to do when you feel like shit? You gotta rest up!

I medicate. I am just getting over a cold and I couldn't take time off. It was miserable. If I am feeling very bad and am contagious, I have my mom as a back up.

Yup - we only have DD for about 1.5 hours in the evening. Honestly - if I was really sick I would call DC and see if they would feed her some leftover for dinner, pick her up at 6:30 (when they close) and basically start the bedtime routine as soon as we get home.
If DH was around and fine he would take over single parenting!
We have, one time when we both had the flu which we got from DD, had to call in grandparents. We have 3 sets local (the only good thing about divorce!) so they each did 2 hrs with her that day...it was a godsend!

Tons more screen time for sure. It always seems that when the family gets the stomach bug, it starts with me, then goes to DH or LO. Regardless of which it is, it always hits me first so I'm taking care of DH or LO while I'm still trying to recover with no energy!

C watched so damn much TV in my first trimester. Just Daniel tiger after Daniel tiger. Not ideal but what can you do.

DH and I have both been sick this past week. We have picked up a lot of Chick Fil A and seen a lifetime's worth of Planes: Fire and Rescue.
This is one advantage of daycare...you get the opportunity to take a real sick day and rest, at least until the evening rolls around or your PTO runs out.

DH. If not DH, mom! We have both sets of grandparents around, thankfully!!

I allow her to destroy the living room while I participate as little as possible. Then I order dinner in and don't feel bad about it. I've also put her to bed early so I can go to bed at the same time.

More screen time.. and thankfully I have my mom nearby if I need an extra hand or a dinner drop-off.

TV if we are alone. Last time i got really sick, so did LO, and we both zoned out and watched the episode where Derek dies on Greys. I was crying my eyes out and I don't think LO even noticed. I am still shocked that he sat still for that long.

When I was in my first trimester, the television was my two year old's best friend. I just could not manage anything more.

TV, grandma.. Depends what kind of sick. Whether lo is also sick, whether in contagious. We have never both been really sick at the same time, just colds and with fevers/viruses it's been one and then the other of us.

Yep. Screen time. No shame there!
Last year we were both sick with food poisoning so it was really bad. It was terrible trying to take care of both kids, so they basically watched videos anytime they weren't sleeping.

Screen time for the older...but the baby doesn't care about TV so it's sort of business as usual and it SUCKS.

Screen time and chicken nuggets or a similar easy to prep food. Yesterday, DH "played" Play-doh princess with her. By play I mean sleep on the floor.

@SugarplumsMom: Hahaha. My lo yells at me to wake up when I close my eyes around her.
