I'm curious -- if your child misbehaves with someone else and for whatever reason, there are no consequences at the moment, what do you do? Assuming we're talking about a toddler who is capable of remembering and understanding he/she did something wrong hours prior....

Do you have regular privileges that you can remove? Like a video before bed... you can explain that you're removing the privilege and tell them why.

@mrbee: In this particular case, the "crime" was jumping on the sofa and encouraging baby sister to do the same. So what we did was we didn't let him sit on the sofa the rest of the weekend... he had to sit on the floor. I am not sure if that was enough -- we also had a stern talk. I was just curious how other people approach this because we had never had to consider it before and at first we were sort of at a loss!
