Do they bother you? Are you proud of them? Don't care either way?

9 years after getting them, I'm more okay with them than I used to be. It took a long time though (sure it didn't help that G's dad was degrading about my pp body). DH loves my body & thinks I'm smoking hot regardless of my occasional insecurity so that DEFINITELY makes a difference.
I can say that after G (the one that gifted me with them) I didn't really get any "more" with P.

Honestly, at 3 months pp I don't really care about them any more. My stomach pooch bothers me way more than my stripes! They are fading and have centralized, so I can still wear high-waisted bikinis (if I ever got down to that weight), so nah, they don't bother me as much as they did while I was pregnant!

@runsyellowlites: I always heard other moms tell me that they got stretch marks with their first and not their second. SO not the case for me!
With W, I had a few small white ones underneath my belly button, pretty down low. They showed up around 37 or 38 weeks.
With this pregnancy, they started "growing" at 20 weeks and now at 32 weeks they COVER my lower stomach.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Oh, what I meant was once you have them I think the skin is pretty stretched to accommodate future stretches. lol Not so much dependent on #1 vs #2+

They are there and I don't love or hate them!

I don't care about them one way or the other. I don't wear bikinis though, so maybe that helps!

Eh, I don't care. I'm certainly not proud but I don't think of them anymore either. I use to be self-conscious and didn't even want to change in front of DH.

Mine have faded pretty well now and I don't mind them. I dislike my serious muffin-top more.

I am just so afraid that the skin around my stretch marks will be saggy. My stomach went back to being tight after #1, but with all these stretch marks, it seems like my skin will be permanently stretched out and it will be a sag city!!!!! I want to be able to wear a bikini.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: In the beginning I hated them they really bothered me, I used mederma for a while but then they faded a lot once my belly tightened up a bit. Now I am proud of them, my husband says they are a badge of honor I should wear with pride

It is what it is. I was never really a thin person so maybe that's why it never really bothered me.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: my tummy is sag city even after getting in shape after having B (well, losing all the preg weight and then some). It was just...soft. After E...ugh...I don't even want to talk about it haha.

I hate mine but I have tons. My ob even commented on how many I have BC ya know I didn't notice. I'm trying to be comfortable with them but they are all over my belly and I'm still not use to them 14 months pp.

They've light enough that I barely notice them, and they don't bother me.

I hate them. I cried the day I realized I will probably never wear a bikini again. My DH tells me I still look hot to him.

I don't mind them at all. I hate the additional weight because you can see that even when Im wearing clothes but the stretch marks - meh, nobody can see them so I don't think about them.

I am with @Adira: All my weight shifted and it bothers me way more

I'm proud of them. I'll probably never be in a bikini again but that doesn't bother me at all. There are worse things in the world. These wrinkly scars brought me my daughter, they are more than welcome to stay if it means she's in my life.

I got them on my hips and on my boobs and they seem to be lightening up. I don't care about the ones on my hips, but the ones on my chest bother me soooooo much. I feel like after I'm finished bf'ing my boobs will look like raisins!

I went through a period of really hating them after having my first, but now I don't really care. I never wore bikinis before and don't really see myself wanting to wear them in the future!

Ugh. That's how i feel about my whole midsection. I can deal with the stretch marks if i'm not all slubby there, too.
honeydew / 7091 posts
I'm covered in them, and I don't really care. I DO care about all the extra weight... so much extra weight... I would double the stretch marks if the weight would just go away.
persimmon / 1223 posts
Mine bother me less than they did at first. I am more concerned about the extra weight I'm carrying around in my midsection! My husband asked me if I was going to get them 'lasered' and my response was 'can I do that??!!!!!??!!!' haha

I hate them. I look like I got mauled and my skin is very loose because of how bad they are. I have a couple that are a full inch wide.

Most of mine are on my boobs. I hate them. It looks I was attacked by a cat. So not cute.

I feel so much better about my body after having a baby than before. And I definitely do not have a culturally perfect body shape.

They don't really bother me at all! They are just part of me now I think I will wear a one piece or tankini next summer though
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
I got some on my belly, but they've faded and they don't bother me much. I had 2 kids! It's natural.
coconut / 8681 posts
@Rainbow Sprinkles: That's what I'm worried about too. My skin tightened back after E (as tight as it could be at 4 months PP- I have no doubt it would've looked totally normal eventually) and I'm really scared of sagginess....way more than stretch marks.
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
I didn't get any while pregnant but I got a bunch on my boobs when my milk came in. They look sort of gross but I got them in order to feed my baby, so I'm fine with it.
My tummy is still poochy- it was never super toned before anyway. I'm only 2 months pp but if it stays and that's the price my body paid for my perfect baby, I hope I'm always ok with it. Tankinis will be happening this summer probably.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: oh no! I didn't get any stretch marks with DD and I thought I was 100% safe this time around!! Ugh! We're you using cream either time?
