I've had all sorts of emotions through the past 5 years over friends announcing pregnancies. Recently two friends, each with one child my daughter's age, announced. I felt happy for them but also torn. I want all of my friend with one kid to stay one kid households.

Totally depends on where I am mentally. When I first started TTC when my friends announced I thought "Oooh, we'll be pregnant together and go on mat leave together!" Then the longer it went and the deeper I got into fertility treatments, the sadder and more bitter I got about it. Once I got pregnant and had my son I was excited for my friends again, although I still felt a pang of "It's not fair that I never got to get pregnant easily, and probably don't get to decide if I want another baby." Those feelings were intensifying as my son got older and I got to the point that I would have liked to get pregnant again if I weren't infertile when I (shockingly) got pregnant again. Now I'm back to "yay, somebody to be pregnant and hang out on mat leave with!"

Excited!! Although I was a bit sad when we were TTC and we were unsuccessful. Same for the period after our D&C. It was even harder then because I would be thinking, I'd be X weeks along now if I was still pregnant. I'm still happy for them though. I loved being pregnant (despite the non-stop worry) and wanted them all to experience/enjoy it also!

Very happy. When we started our family, most of our friends were not married yet. It's great to see so many of our friends with kids now. Also I'm done having more kids, and I get to live vicariously through everyone else with little babies.

A few years ago- panicked! (We didn't know if we would have kids or not)
Since we started to ttc: happy and excited for them. Especially ones who have struggled. -
Super excited!!! Especially when it's a first time parent announcement - I actually get a bit teary thinking of how exciting it is for them!

I feel happy for them without feeling sad for myself. Finally! I never felt jealous of my friends when I was going through IF treatments, but I would feel twinges of sadness every time someone announced a pregnancy.

Truthfully? Right now, after two miscarriages in a row, trying since May -- a bit bitter. Still excited for them but when I first hear/read it, it hurts. I'm grateful for what I have, and hopeful for the future, and I love my friends, but I struggle a bit.

Super excited! My two bridesmaids both announced right before I had my second and I am so super excited they are having kids soon.

It's exciting - my friends are starting to go for number two now (number one for me is due next week) and I feel like I've joined some kind of exclusive club.

I've gone from jealousy to indifference. Maybe one day I'll be excited?
(That said, none of my closest friends have had babies yet, I'm sure I will be happy for them.)

I will have to admit that right now I get jealous when friends/family announce pregnancies. All of the past few have been accidents or happened easily and we've been struggling to TTC since April
I get over it pretty quickly and are of course happy for our friends and family but it still stings every time. There has been a huge baby boom in our circle lately, I know a baby that's due from last month all the way up until May now!

Previous to ttc I was super excited! Then we started ttc and it took longer than I would have liked, so those announcements stung. After lo was born I was excited and then after MC and ttc #2 I was bitter with the sudden baby boom around us, but now I'm indifferent. I also don't have super close friends who are pregnant so when others announce I guess it doesn't really impact my life as much.

I've always been excited. Prior to TTC (when I really wanted to, but DH wasn't ready), I was also a bit jealous sometimes. Now that I'm pregnant, it's just exciting. The more the merrier for my LO to play with!

Excited, especially for first time parents joining the club. I am also excited for second timers but if their LO is younger than mine I get a weird twinge for a minute. Not jealousy or sadness but a feeling like maybe we are missing out by not TTC yet.

I know I should be happy for them, and on some level I am, but overall I'm sad and a bit jealous. Especially right now after just having had our second loss in a row and dealing with infertility over the last 2 years.

Happy and excited. But I won't lie, when I had just had my miscarriage and was TTC for my second baby, I struggled with jealousy when new announcements came.

Depends on where we are and when and who. I my family, always happy even if also sad. When trying, jealous and sad, when pregnant, usually pretty darn excited.
