Hello Bees! My 2.5 year old is suddenly getting very sassy and sometimes borderline rude. 8 when she acts that way I role play nicer ways to say things, have her say please, etc. But I am wondering if there is something more I should be doing? Just wondering if you guys have any suggestions!

Omgggg the 2.5 year old sass is crazy! I usually say excuse me, that's not a nice way to talk or it hurts my feelings when you talk to me like that. We say "x" (to model appropriate thing to say.) Can you try again? I also giver her lots of praise when she is polite without prompting, which definitely has worked for us. I think what you're doing is perfect.

I often will say "pardon me!?! I don't think so" and ignore it and walk away. Ignoring it is the hardest part.
