DD woke up with a really bad cold and swollen, goopy eyes. They aren't red but I'm worried it could be pink eye. Can't call the doctor for another 30 min.

@BabyBoecksMom: I was told that if you pull the bottom eyelid away from the eye and look down, if that is red, they treat as pink eye.
My daughters eyes don't really get red, but since the eyelid is red, they treat her.

Pink eye = conjunctivitis = the lining and of your eyelid and white part is red/swollen. From the pic, I can't tell if the white part of the eye is red or not, but that's usually the best indicator.
If the eyes are swollen/goopy without the white part being red, it might be an ear infection that has backed up into the sinuses. When my LO has an ear infection, she never seems bothered by the ears, but always has goopy eyes.

B had pink eye and I noticed it because how goopy his eyes were, I don't remember if they were red.

I think it looks like pinkeye too. I'd definitely take your LO to the doctor.

So... It's not pinkeye but the doctor gave us some eye drops and a prescription for antibiotics just in case she gets worse while we're on vacation. Whew! I'm relieved!
