I was in the maternity store today and bought a couple of super cute tops that really emphasize my bump (which isn't very big yet, I'm only 19 weeks). I like trying to emphasize my bump, I want everyone to know I'm pregnant, not just really full from a cheeseburger at lunch!

While I was in there, there was a really rude woman there with her daughter. She kept telling her daughter that she looked "trashy" and that the clothes were too tight, that you aren't supposed to be able to see that you have a bump, etc.

I was pretty offended by her tone and the way she was speaking to her daughter and the store manager, who was trying really hard to help them find stuff they could both be happy with (the daughter was 16-17).

I don't know if the mom didn't want her daughter's bump to be noticeable because of her age (and I'm assuming her age, based on seeing her, I didn't like see her driver's license or anything, she just looked 16-17). Or maybe it was a generational thing, my mom definitely had told me a hundred times about how she had to wear stuff that looked like tents when she was pregnant, that that was just what was out there.

How do you like your maternity clothes to fit? Do you opt for hide-the-bump stuff, emphasize-the-bump, or something else? Nothing I wear is tight by ANY means, I'm waaaay too self-conscious to wear form-fitting stuff and it's just uncomfortable to have restricting clothing on my belly, but the stuff I wear are like empire-waist style tops, flowy tunic tops, and typical maternity slacks and jeans, with the full panel, which gives me a cute little round belly

Just curious to hear others' style choices!
