I like soft shell with cheese, sour cream, onion, beans and salsa. I would add much more, but tacos are our go-to on busier or lazy nights, so we keep them simple. How do you like your tacos?

I like crunchy and soft. Both with meat, cheddar, onion and sour cream. I like an avocado or guac on the side and maybe some beans or rice with it to make it a meal. Yum!!!

Soft taco, we usually do a turkey and beef mix, lettuce & lots of tomatoes. I tried making my own recently rather than the mix, used the cooks illustrated recipe, and they were pretty good!

I like soft shell with beef or chicken, lettuce, tomato, black olives, avocado, cheese, and salsa.
Fish tacos are my favorite. I've never made those at home because my DH doesn't like them.

Simple tacos - we don't like americanized tacos (too heavy). Just some simple meat, onion, cilantro, avocado and a little salsa of some kind.

soft tacos with meat, cheese, salsa, and lettuce. If we have sour cream or avocado, I'll put that on mine sometimes.
I also like tostadas. I'll put corn tortillas in the oven to crisp them up, spread them with a 1/2 refried bean+1/2 salsa mix and cheese, then layer a few of them on top of each other, then put meat and salsa on top. More of a fork+knife dish.

Must be soft shell, and I don't have a preference on what goes in it. Just no beans.

Usually soft taco w/ beef, cheese, sour cream and salsa. I like hard shells on occasion and lettuce & tomato sometimes also. Refried beans on the side

I made tacos last night since DH and I got home late. Unfortunately the smell was too overpowering for me and I felt queasy all night and swore I could still smell the taco seasoning even though DH tried his darndest to scrub away the smell and air the place out.

My favorite tacos (not homeade) are the authentic mexican tacos in the double-layers of corn soft tortillas. I like barbacoa and pastor the best.
And for my ideal, I-miss-Texas meal, I'd want them both with Elotes/Esquites on the side! Like so:

Soft shell, tomatoes, guac, salsa, lettuce and onions. Sour cream and cheese when I can have dairy again.

We do double-deckers at our house. We start with a soft shell taco, smother it with sour cream, and then add the hard shell on top. Inside the hard shell taco, we add the meat, salsa, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Tomatoes are my fav, so I load up on those! YUM! Now I want tacos!!
