@coopsmama: happy anniversary!

Normally, nothing! Last year was our 5th anniversary, and we went on a long weekend trip to NYC. This year we are going to Korea. Without the kids! It is less about our anniversary though, and more because it is a good time for us to get away...

We did a love letter ceremony at our wedding and every year on our anniversary we write a new letter to put in our box and read the last year's letter. We also usually decide on a joint gift (something for the house) to splurge on. And we go out to dinner. No big romantic gestures around here.

Nothing really - sometimes we will dinner.

Although next year is 10 yrs so I want to go on a trip!

We usually do dinner and gifts. I try to keep to the traditional yearly gifts, so this year (3rd anniversary) I got a little leather card personalized for him to keep in his wallet. Hopefully he thinks it's as cute as I do

Always a really nice dinner, cards, and gifts. I usually get a dozen roses. Sometimes we plan a big trip, if that's how our vacation planning happens to work out; sometimes a weekend trip.

We usually do whatever I plan, which is usually a weekend away. Usually DH gets me a card and flowers which is fine with me

Out to dinner mostly with LO now- Before LO we went away for a vacation!

We usually go out for a nice dinner but we've used it as an excuse to get away or splurge on something - broadway show, concert, etc. We had our wedding guests sign bottles of champagne (my MOH gifted us 5 bottles of Dom Perignon) and we opened a bottle on our anniversary (last year was our last bottle). We don't exchange gifts though

This year DH said I could get an anniversary band if I wanted but I'm not a big jewelry person. I think this year we'll just get a hotel room in the city and go out to a nice dinner, sleep in and spend the next day together while my parents stay with LO

As the years have gone by, we've done less and less. I am so bored with the going out to dinner option!

Usually, it's a nice dinner out.

We usually use it as an excuse to get away for a night, usually to the beach. Nice dinner out, or cook a nice dinner at home if a weekend trip doesn't work out. We exchange cards, but no gifts. My husband is more romantic and thoughtful than I am, so he usually is better about planning it all out.

We usually just go out for dinner, we keep it really low key.

We take turns planning something to celebrate. For anniversaries 1 & 3 DH made hard to get reservations at great restaurants. I planned a weekend away for #2 and dinner and a show for #4. This year we are planning a short road trip weekend away, since we'll have DS with us.

Nice dinners. And for some of the anniversaries, gifts. But not all. But definitely cards.
