I would have said bee but my friend has a daughter named Beatrice and calls her bay-uh

So interesting! Lo1 is moving up to the preschool classroom at our daycare in a few weeks and we got a bday invite for a girl named Bea already in the class, which is why I was wondering! I can see all 3 pronunciations being used so didn't want to tell lo1 about the party until I figure out which it is
@Shree1990: so funny, Bea/Beatrice seems much more common to me than Thea, I've never met a Thea irl before

I would typically pronounce it Bee, like the English pronunciation. But I had a college roommate who pronounces it Bay-uh. I don't know if it's a Filipino way of saying it? She was Filipino.

@Anagram: I'm pretty sure the Bay-uh I knew was Filipino too, so maybe?
