We currently use an IKEA cube organizer with bins but I need something new because I want to use that for the new baby's room. I really hope LO 2 is out of diapers by this fall so I want something that doesn't take up too much space in LO 1 & 2's shared room. (maybe a hanging closet organizer or laundry baskets if I'm desperate!)

I always stored them in the dresser. While they are very pretty to look at, I like that they are out of site and right there with the changing table (we had a combo unit that matched out crib. Just the bottom not the top hutch part).
I've seen people use hanging cubes mounted on the wall and make their diaper storage into a type of art.

Spin-off question, do you have different baskets for different types of CDs? Like are your pocket diapers separate from your AIOs? I know what they look like and differences but I'm wondering if the DH will need a bit of help in that department. Pre-baby, I'm thinking DH will prefer the AIOs.

@bluestriped bee: yes, we keep AIOs, pockets, hybrids in separate bins. One bin has extra doublers and wet bags.

@bluestriped bee: I had different piles within my dresser for the different types. My DH always preferred the hook & loop ones so I made sure they were easy for him to find and then kept any of the other ones he liked within reach. For him it didn't really matter so much if the diaper was AIO vs pocket and closure preference mattered more.
Baskets would have been too small for my stash
to be able to store them and keep them organized that way.

We have some fabric bins I bought at Bed Bath and Beyond that are roughly shoebox shaped, so they are about the same width as a diaper and they line up very nicely. I keep a few of the bins on the changing table shelf and a few downstairs...they get shuffled around as-needed on laundry day.

I just cleared out another drawer is our six drawer dresser we use as a changing table. We have 5 or so in the top drawer along with disposables (that we use for night)

I put all mine together, but I'm the only one who cloth diapers. My husband does disposables when he changes her.
to be able to store them and keep them organized that way.
