I usually roast them. Easier than standing over a pan. Broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potato, brussel sprouts...
Just a little olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper usually does the trick!

Steam or roast. The kids prefer steamed bc the texture is softer and easier to eat.

Steam or eat in stir fry. We pretty much only eat broccoli/carrots/peppers though since we're boring.

I just roast everything. It is easy and the kids eat anything roasted.

@mfa_lady: I made those and we ate practically the whole pan with a wheat baguette. Yum!

We usually steam. Occasionally veggies get tossed in a pan for a stir fry or fajitas or something similar.

@jhd: YES. They are absurdly good. I prefer them without the tomatoes--but I'm not a huge tomato person. It's the greatest recipe!

Typically we cook them in with whatever we are having- we don't often have a "side of vegetables." If there isn't a way to incorporate veggies into the main dish, we have a salad.

Depends on what they are, but usually I roast them. I saute/stir fry things like snow peas, broccoli, etc.

@mfa_lady: @jhd: I am ridiculously excited to try this recipe! I love veggies and veggie juices for dipping!
We steam or sauté most of the time...just based on the type of veggies we eat most often (green beans, broccoli, greens, bok choy, zucchini, and asparagus). we always roast cauliflower but we only eat it about once a month. I want to start grilling most of our veggies this summer

I roast lo's whole day of veggies in the toaster oven since I can put it on a timer and not have to think about it. Sweet potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, carrots and mushrooms are his favs.
