For ours we always go to the same restaurant. The Melting Pot! It's a little expensive and all our family knows we love going there, so for Christmas someone always gives us a gift card for there to go towards our meal This year his mom gave us one! Can't wait till December now to use it! LOL

We go for dinner at the same restaurant we had our very first date at.
Nothing really fancy, but definitely very special to us.

our first anniversary we had just started TTC and weren't pregnant yet so we went to a nice sushi restaurant, had some drinks and walked around downtown and stayed overnight in a beautiful historic hotel. It was a beautiful weekend.
Our next anniversary our little one was just 2.5 months old so we didn't do anything. We opted no gifts since we'd just paid all the hospital bills.
May will mark our third anniversary and LO will be 15 months so we asked my mom to come stay the night so we can go away for a night. I'm SO excited!!!!! We'll do a nice dinner and maybe a B&B or nice hotel. Maybe go to the art museum, the orchestra or a play - something nice.

Our anniversary is New Year's Day, and so far we've always spent it at my IL's house or driving back to DC. Really romantic, huh? We've celebrated by going out or taking a weekend trip a few weeks later.

We usually go out for a nice dinner. Our LO will be 1.5 months old on our 3rd anniversary this year so not sure if we'll be able to "celebrate" this year.

We just go out to dinner. Last year we brought 5 week old DS. This year not sure if we'll bring him or get a sitter. 2 years on the 23rd!

We've done dinner and a weekend getaway, or we just try to do something fun/nice that day. This year, he has some military training, so we'll celebrate before or after

Well, we've only had one so far, and we upto a beach town in Maine to spend the weekend. This year we'll have a 2 week old so probably won't do much

For our third anniversary, we went to a restaurant. We had some friends babysit our LO who was 2 months old at the time. It was our first time away from him. We typically do the restaurant thing for anniversaries. For our second anniversary, we visited some good friends of ours. It was a great trip especially during TTC.
I don't know what we'll do for our fourth anniversary. It started out as a tough year with some inlaw issues and now marriage counseling for a couple months. Getting to our fourth anniversary feels like a goal to me, so celebrating it will be awesome.

1st anniversary we took a week vacation to Cabo a couple weeks after our actual anniversary. We did go to dinner on the actual date. This year we just went to a nice dinner. We agreed no gifts this year but he got me something. Cotton is the 2nd anniversary gift, so he got me/us a gift card to Gymboree to pick out some outfits for our girl on the way.

For our first and second we went wine tasting at the same winery. We didn't for our third since LO was expected a few days later. We did agree that since our anniversary is right before Christmas, we'd skip big gifts and just exchange ornaments that relate to something that happened in the last year. This time I bought him one that was a sand dollar with a cruise ship on it. I bought it on Catalina Island, when we were on our cruise.

Last year we went to the Melting Pot (my favorite) and a Yankee's game (DH's favorite) and stayed in a hotel in a nearby city where they were playing.
This year I'm not sure the plan since we have a LO, hopefully a nice dinner and maybe a movie?
