For all of you who have a wood growth chart how do you make markings on it. I have decided to get a 6ft cut of wood and apply a decal on it that I ordered on etsy. I will also have our family name on the back of it. I just wondered. what is the best way to record her height on it? I still want to wood growth chart to look good and have enough space so that my future LO's heights can be recorded on it as well

I was wondering this as well! I was also wondering do you put all heights on from all your LO's doctors or just from the pedi?
We see a pedi, GI, allergist and nutritionist. They each have a different method of obtaining height and he can see the pedi and the GI a day later and his height can be off 2" or more...making the next time he goes back to the pedi shorter than the last time he was measured by the GI. Make sense? Not sure if I should put them all on or just stick tithe ones from the pedi?

We also got a piece of wood that I painted. I just have her stand up next to it every once in a while and write her name and how old she is next to my marking.

We did what Artbee does...on our closet walls as kids. I bet my husband will just cut a piece of wood and put it up so we can write on that each year.

I write on mine with a white paint pen because it is dark-ish wood.

We carve ours onto a door frame. My husband and I both did this when we were younger so we do it for nostalgic reasons. We plan on taking a picture of it when we move and start over at our new house when we move in 5-7 years.

Similar to @banana we record our LO's height on the door frame. I plan on this being our forever home, but if we ever move DH says that we will bring the door frame with us...
