Depending on the age of your LO, do they cry? Come into your room and jump on your bed? Do nothing?
Lately, the DD has been shout singing random songs at the top of her lungs. This morning I was half asleep thinking "Who is that kid shouting and why won't they shut up?" And then I realized that it was my kid. Oops.

LO yells, waits 3 seconds and yells again. She'll do this for about 15 minutes until she'll start whimpering or crying.

LO crawls/walks over to our room, and says "appa! umma!"
When I'm in bed with her, she puts her face super close to mine and says umma! and gives me a kiss

She just sits in her crib and starts making "uhhh. uhhh." noises because she's crawling around in there and apparently that's hard work. I hear it in the monitor, go get her bottle, and then go into her room to see a smiley face staring back at me!

@Andrea: I guess it is hard work.... she has to lug that big belly around!
I have a friend who's 2 1/2 year old wakes up and says, "I'm done!" so her mom knows she's done sleeping. I think that's so cute!

Well my LO is only 3 mos, and he sleeps with us. so at the moment he just kind of squirms and grunts, but once we both wake up, we lay in bed and "talk", he will coo for like 10 minutes and smile the whole time, I have to say it's one of my favorite parts of the day - waking up with my happy baby. He just makes me day, it's one reason I'm so hesitant to transition from cosleeping - I love waking up with him.

So cute! I love toddler singing!
DD calls out, "Daddy! Daaaaddddyyyyyyy!" And if I try to go into her room instead of DH, she says, "No mommy! Daddy!" You can tell who she likes best.

Charlie calls out for me if I'm not in the room... sometimes if I'm there, he'll snuggle up to me and tell me I'm his best friend. Ok he only did that once, but the memory lives on!!

I love happy babies, and pray I get one of those in a few months! haha
My niece will just loudly say over and over until someone gets her "Good Morning... Milk" and then has a huge smile on her face when you go in there.

I live for that huge smile first thing in the morning. Lately at 4mos, he starts babbling and squirming about half an hour before he wakes up.
