My SIL started working on her's at 12 weeks. However, she knows the gender (girl) because they had a special blood test done.
I'm excited to start working on ours (I'm 9 weeks)! I won't know the gender until 20 weeks, but I want a pretty neutral type nursery anyway.

I think like 6.5 months? But we had just moved. I probably would have started a month or two earlier if we hadn't.

I started buying fabric, painting our dresser etc at 12 weeks , since we were TG anyway . We moved 4 weeks before our due date so I had to wait a while to put it all together !

@lovehoneybee: @char54: Man, I wish we could move before LO is born! 
We're probably going to end up moving around 9 months in to LOs life, so it seems kinda silly for me to go all out on a nursery in our current home. Might make things a bit messy!

I think by about 8 months or so. We painted the nursery and assembled the furniture a week before I went into labor at 39 weeks. I had some idea of the nursery decor around 7-8 months. LO and I slept in the family room with me on the couch and him in the RNP until he was about 4 months old.

Once we knew the gender, but we picked out the furniture before that, so I guess around 15 weeks?

We got it painted at about 28 weeks and I've been putting things together ever since! I'd say it's mostly done (ie big things all together) but I still have a bunch of stuff to put on the walls, etc now at 32 weeks.

We cleaned out the junk from the room and painted it around 16 weeks, since my parents were visiting and offered to help. We gradually added things throughout the rest of the pregnancy, but it's still not totally "done" and LO is almost 7 weeks old!

We bought a few small things starting at 20 weeks when we found out gender, but honestly we started most of our shopping last week (29 weeks) and put it all together this past weekend at 30 weeks. I was anxious to get it started because I have been MAJORLY nesting, but It came together pretty fast and I love it so far. We still have a few little holes to fill though.

we cleaned it out at 19/20 wks. Painted a month later. Decorated throughout the next month.

@pui: we started around 8-10 weeks. Our nursery was the guest room & catch all room for a few years, so it took us awhile to sort the room, disassemble furniture and clean out the closet. I had been storing our wedding china in there!
I think I bought the crib around 15-16 weeks, but we didn't assemble for weeks. I didn't decorate anything until we knew the gender.

I planned it out at about 3 months and bought bedding and accessories throughout the pregnancy. We didn't get down to painting and putting together the furniture and finishing it until I was about 32 weeks pregnant. SO and I work in schools so we waited until we were done work in June and had more time.

We didn't plan until after I was out of the first trimester. I thought, personally, it was bad luck to make purchases too early.

We got a couple things at around 25-30 weeks? But didn't put anything together til about 35 weeks and on because we moved.

Once we knew the gender we started looking at stuff. But I didn't starting putting anything together till 35 weeks when we moved into our new house.

@pui: we were in between houses so we didn't do a nursery for her till she was much older. We didn't move into our (forever) home until she was 6 months! Her nursery wasn't finished until her first birthday.
For this one we will be waiting till we find out gender.

i started pinning ideas when i was around 8 weeks i think. we didn't shop for anything until we had the anatomy scan around 18 weeks. we bought our house when i was around 15 weeks so we couldn't really do anything before that anyway. as of right now we have some furniture (but no crib!) and a rug. i'm excited to start working on some of the details soon.

I'm planning a gender neutral nursery but will add in more boy or girl touches once we find out the gender. I started buying prints for the walls at 12 weeks, and we picked out or paint color. DH is going to start painting today and I'm just past 14 weeks! I've been Pinterest-ing away though since day 1!

With number one he was due at the end of April and the nursery was done by March. We started working on it right after we going out gender.
With DD she was due 4 days after we started to work on it.....

I am 19 weeks with #2 and am just now starting to get the nesting itch (I got it much earlier with the 1st). Will probably start clearing out the room this weekend.

I knew what I wanted to do for a girl or boy nursery and started gathering stuff pretty early in my pregnancy. Once we found out it was a boy I really started picking out specifics like paint, etc. I made his blanket and burp cloths when I was around 28 weeks and my husband just started painting this past weekend (31 weeks). I would have liked to start sooner but DH replaced our floors in December and the baby's room was a big storage room for us so we had to spend a lot of time cleaning it out. We slowly cleaned it out over the past 4ish months.

I didn't even start cleaning out the room until around 24 weeks. Then we didn't start painting until after 30 weeks. Got the furniture setup around 35 weeks. Finished it the day before I went into labor at 39 weeks.

We decided what nursery we wanted a while back, though that's all a little complicated since I've had two m/c's, so we were discussing things well before this (hopefully sticky) pregnancy. I guess technically I've started working on it at 7 weeks, because I'm already working on a blanket for it. But we're looking for a house now, so we won't be doing any official getting started until we have a house. But once we do, we probably won't wait since we won't want to use the room for anything else, knowing that it will be a nursery very soon!

we started clearing out the room (turning my office into a nursery) around 8 weeks, and by that point had talked about color schemes and decor, and maybe even had a few prints picked out for the wall (we went with gender neutral even though we found out the sex at 16 weeks). I'm now at 27 weeks, and we have the room mostly cleared out, a rug and wall decor purchased/obtained, a changing table and crib ordered but won't be delivered for ages (loooong story about PBK delivery fiasco!), and a glider picked out on our registry but not bought yet (prob won't be gifted it so we'll buy it later with our completion discount). so basically, the nursery is on it's way but won't actually be ready for quite awhile!
