Since you installed it and are sure it fits, I would personally remove it until your due date is near (or have your husband install it after you give birth). If, heaven forbid, you get in an accident between now and then, you will need to replace the car seat.

The baby was 8 days old.. when he got his feeding tube out in the nicu we got on that. My mom had said she would get it for us and kept procrastinating.... when I went into labor at 34w4d, I called her and said "Don't show up at this hospital without that car seat!" haha... I think she was a little taken aback!

I'll probably try to install it this week (by 37 weeks).

38 weeks, we installed it on the sunday before my "likely to induce date" which was a Wednesday.

We will do it between 36-37 weeks just to be safe.

39w - not sure if you've thought of this but I wouldn't leave it in there. It would suck to have to replace it if you got in an accident!

I think it was at 36 weeks. I had my LO at 38 weeks.

I had the fire department do it at 38 weeks. He arrived a week later.

We thought we had it installed right, but it wasn't in tight enough according to the fireman.

Yeah, it freaked me out afterwards! Good idea to just leave the base in though, you definitely won't be easily climbing in and out of the back seat no too long from now! We stored the car seat in our trunk for a while, it kept out out of the way.

We had our installed at 37 weeks or so.

We purchased it at 20 weeks, but it didn't get installed until the day before we came home from the hospital.

The Thursday before I gave birth.

I'm getting nervous because I'm 35 weeks and we don't even HAVE the car seat yet. We're waiting to buy it until after the baby shower (wish it had been at like 30 weeks!).

I keep reminding myself that the birth center is only a couple miles away from BBB and worse case scenario, DH can just go buy it before we leave! Still - if we don't get it at the shower, I'm ordering it like the next day.

we installed going home from the hospital, lol. instead of installing and then having them check it (they won't let you leave without doing so), we just opted to wait and have them do both.
