About 2.5 hours driving. It's not too bad but we are hoping to move back to the general area we grew up in. Hopefully before DD starts kindergarten...

Around 1800 miles/4-5 hours flight. We are about 100 miles/2 hour drive from my in laws.
Sometimes I wish we were closer to my family, especially as my parents get older, but every time we visit it confirms my desire to stay where we are!

I grew up in the Midwest and am currently living in Thailand. I’ve lived far from home since I left for college and I’ve lived abroad at various times and places for about 10 years.

It would probably take 15-20 minutes to walk to my childhood home. We are a 7 minute drive from my parents' current house.
I have lived a three- and a seven-hour drive away, but I am so glad to be close to my parents now that LO is here.

0 miles! I actually live in the house my family bought when I was in Jr high and that's in the same town that I grew up in before that too.

I live hundreds of miles from home, in America's heartland. I miss home so much!! I can't convince my husband to move.

A town away. Didn't mean to, it just happened! I've definitely grown to appreciate the area much more in adulthood. But my parents have since moved a few hours away so unfortunately they're not still here to babysit!

20 minutes! I knew I'd stay in the same area, I've always loved it and wanted to raise a family here.

20 mins...2 towns/1 school district away. It's a perfect distance for us.
DH parents are about 40 min......they think thats too far. I prefer not having more spontaneous visits. They wanted us to live on their street once upon a time....

If I could see over my neighbours roof, I could probably see the house I grew up in.
I’ve never lived anywhere else, always in a probably 3km radius of the street I grew up on.
Lately it has me dreaming of moving away

After 15 years spent living in different places, I now live 5 blocks from where I grew up. Never thought I'd say that! It's a small town and my parents live here, so it's great having help.
