That title sounds serious - I mean lighthearted ways 
I always tease my DH that I didn't sign up for his 3 team fantasy football addiction, and having to catch all the NFL games every week!!! When started dating he was just a mild football fan, like catch the big games only.

He doesn't work out as much! Before me he had a lot of free alone time and he worked out a TON - kind of obsessively. Now that I'm always around to hang out with, he only works out sort of obsessively.

@runnerd: We joke about this all the time! I thought I was getting a 'bad boy' (he had a shaved head, rode a motorcycle, etc. when we met), and he thought he was getting a sugarmama! lol Neither came true!

He's grown up so much, mostly in the last year or so... He really takes care of me now rather than the othe way around.

DH has matured/grown up so much! He's toned down quite a bit from his single/partying days, and is much more family oriented.

Hmmm not really? In the 5 years I've known him I don't think he's changed very much at all. He was very mature when I first met him.

@pui: Yeah, pretty much the same--I met DH four years or so ago, and I can't think of any big ways he's changed since then. He's definitely more studious in law school than he was in undergrad, but I think that's more just because law school is the first school that's ever challenged him (he's always been one of those too smart for his own good/doesn't apply himself without a challenge types). He tried giving up Diet Coke for a while (he's drank at least 2-3 cans a day since I've known him!), but that didn't last long

@mrsjyw: My hubs totally has a wider pallette. I think my MIL had seven meals that she just rotated every week. I've introduced my hubs to lots of new tastes/flavors/ingredients.

My husband is now an expert at anything related to Disney's Cars. He can magically track down toys that have been out of production for years.

1. He finally eats things that is not out of a fast food container or out of a sports bar. THANK GOODNESS!
2. He doesn't go out every night, he was lonely before so he filled that time up at bars/ he's become much more of a homebody like me.
3. He has more ambition in his job, and has moved up.

@JessKas: my DH too. he will try new foods a lot more easily.
my DH didn't rediscover comic books/graphic novels until we were dating. now he has a few that he reads every month. that has nothing to do with me it's just it has happened since we met.

Not really, and that's a good thing:) He was great then, great now....although i'd say he does do things *for me* that he wouldn't have done for anyone else...meaning: his friends may say he's changed because I can get him to do things that the single him would have never done (types of vacations, shopping habits...) I wouldn't say he's changed, just that he now has someone else to make decisions with rather than being so "in his ways".

@JessKas: @jhd: lucky gals! My husband is into like...3 foods? (meat, fish & chicken!) and nothing else. He won't try any pastas or salads or Mexican foods or Chinese foods...
It is so flippin inconvenient; but he has been like that all his life.

He's changed a lot! He never traveled before meeting me, and now he's willing to go on a plane, in a taxi, on a monorail... all sorts of things he was scared to do!
He's also a lot more confident. He asked for a raise this year!
Oh, and he quit smoking!! 2 years ago!! Go baby!
He's a wonderful man, and I know this is cheesy but he gets more wonderful every year.

I think my husband has grown up a lot and gained a lot more confidence in himself. He's way more responsible with money now, less insecure about his looks, and just generally more at-ease in his skin I think.
I think a lot of this probably has to do with WHEN we met our SOs though! I met my husband a week before he turned 22 and he's 28 now… those are big "becoming an adult" years.

He is more confident. He's a far less picky eater (he's the one to suggest sushi or Thai). When we met, he'd never flown in a plane, now he's a seasoned business traveler. He usually dresses nicer than I do!
I agree @mae ... my SO was 20 and is now 30. I'd be surprised if he hadn't changed!
