We have a mini tree this year due to basement renovation problems and so far so good. A (9mos) doesn't crawl yet so we're safe on that front, E (32mos...2.75yrs?) plays with it a little but hasn't been dangerous or rough. No presents yet under the tree though.

DD 1 (32m) broke a ornament of ours that we've had forever they they day we put up the tree. But the novelty has worn off now. I don't plan on putting presents out till Xmas eve!

We put ours in a corner with a few shatterproof ornaments on the bottom our 12 month old can reach. He's pulled them off the tree a few times, but has lost interest. He hasn't tried to pull up on the tree yet, so I'm grateful it worked out...

He ignores it for the most part! He's gotten interested in it a few times and will bat at the ornaments or try to pull them off, but we put all shatterproof ones on the bottom, so it's not a big deal. He learned pretty quickly that he's not supposed to touch it.

LO is 15 months & is so surprisingly good! We had to tell her about 5 times the first day not to touch but now she just looks at it & sometimes says "don't touch" while she looks. We even have presents & she hasn't even thought about messing with those!

I wrapped a few presents and put them under the tree tonight. The kitten is very interested in them. Of course! I wouldn't be surprised if something winds up unwrapped.

The day we put it up A learned to army crawl. Haha. Today he made it over there for the first time and bit a present. He can't reach the tree really though.

Ours has been up since November 30th and presents have been under it since last weekend. I still need to add ribbon to the presents though so everything doesn't look quite how I want it to yet.
I really need to get on that..

My dog has been enjoying it
She has never bothered it before but this year she ate the ice cream cones we made from last year (ice cream cone on bottom, Styrofoam on top - she didn't eat the Styrofoam) and she has eaten 4 of the salt dough ornament - WTH???
I moved the rest to the top!

We have a big tree (7.5 ft) and LO was very, very interested in helping decorate it, but has completely ignored it since then (even with gifts underneath it). The only comment she makes on it is to tell us to turn the lights on "her tree"!

We have a real tree up in the front room and my old mini tree in their play area. My LOs love the ball ornaments...they are shatterproof!

So far ds has pulled a couple ornaments off the tree and broken one that I thought he couldn't reach in the back. I am wrapping gifts today but I think between him and the cat I might keep them downstairs until closer to Christmas.

We have two trees up, with breakable ornaments on them, and L hasn't touched them! She's tried a couple times but I gently remind her that they're for looking, not touching, and she seems to get it. I even have wrapped presents under the tree that she hasn't touched once!
My Christmas Village and people though, that's another story...

I let my son put the ornaments on, nothing on there is so preciious that I would be upset about it if got broken.
My son rearranges the ornaments every night, lol.

She has shown zero interest in it at all. I did put the presents in the guest room and not under the tree.

Our tree will be at my parents', so hopefully DS will only have limited chances to wreak havoc.

DD is obsessed with our tree. We don't have any fragile ornaments on it but she's been very careful. When we turned the lights on she started smiling and saying "Christmas tree! Livy happy!"

We have an 8' real tree. Xander (21 months) loves it! He likes to lie under it and look at his reflection in some of the lower ornaments. And he'll wave to himself and say "Hi!" It's so cute. We've just reiterated over and over that he has to be careful around the tree, not pull ornaments off, not throw things around the tree, etc. He seems to be getting it. And Logan seems to like the lights.

LO talks to our tree & any other tree we see when we are out places. He loves them. He's not really mobile yet so no issues with touching it or the presents underneath. I'm sure next year will be very different!

Well, I caved this year and we got a fake tree. I was a little bit sad about it, but the real tree was just becoming a huge hassle and DH was never a fan, so having him start off the season crabby from the physical work of putting up a big tree wasn't good. It is a very nice realistic-looking tree though!
L, who is 18 months, has surprisingly not bothered it. He reached for it a couple of times, but stopped when I corrected him and did not have a fit.

Ours is in the basement in a bucket of water. Hopefully, it will get put up this weekend.

At 27 months he likes the lights, but is truly fascinated by the ornaments. If he sees his reflection he will say, "I see you" or if he's pulled one off (which is not allowed) he will say, "It's not working."

several broken ornaments this year. i've been transitioning to felt ornaments since they take up less storage space. it's a 6 foot real tree but our wreath smells way better than the tree i think because it has juniper in it.
4 presents are under there now... waiting to put the rest because the suspense is killing charlie and he asks what's in them all the time!

Non-existent. I've never been big on holiday spirit and when it was just my husband and I, it wasn't a big deal not to have one. But now that our son is home, I am really getting pressure from all directions not to be a "grinch" *shrug*
