Title says it all lol
I'm only a couple days late but I'm getting an induction date tomorrow for next week (doc will let me go 41 and some change) I'm in denial that she could stay in until Saturday (41 weeks) but I know it's possible!

i delivered at exactly 41 weeks. i was induced at 40 weeks, 6 days, but labor went on for 24 hours until i ended up with a c section. i wanted to wait longer to deliver naturally, but my doc didn't want me to.

I was induced at 40w1d but my best friend self induced with castor oil at 42w1d (she was about to get pitocin the next morning and wanted to speed things along), she eventually had a csection because she didn't dilate - that boy did not want to come out, haha

My doula mentioned castor oil-I'm not keen on it but I guess it's better than pitocin! I'm getting acupuncture Friday if she still hasn't come out

@blackbird: she tried everything, chiropractor, acupuncture, pressure point massage, ate hot wings, walked 3 miles, bounced on a ball for hours. A+ for effort!

This thread gives me hope... I'm convinced she's never coming out... I'm only 38w6d though...
I hope you don't need an induction and she comes very soon!!

@blackbird: Castor oil can dehydrate you, so might not be ideal right before labor!

I went into labor naturally at 41+5. My doctor started talking about induction at 41 weeks, but I held off and I'm so glad I did! I actually think what did the trick was a glass of wine and sex. I did 3 rounds of acupuncture induction, too, which I think helped things along.
It makes me sad when people say their doctor won't let them do something. Just so you know, you don't have to do anything you don't want to do! Your doctor can't make you induce. It is YOUR choice.

@allison: agree with what you said about doctors!! they can say all they want but its still your body and your baby!!
it was totally up to me whether I wanted to induce or just wait for something to happen... I ended up going at 40+1 but I could have gone 42+ if I wanted! (not that I would have wanted to, lol)

@rachiecake, lol, A+ for effort, definitely!
Well, i'm sure if i told my doctor I wanted to go past 41 weeks, it'd be different. But i have some other factors that make me a higher risk pregnancy towards the end that we've already discussed, so when my doctor says 41 weeks is pushing it, I'm rolling with it because I trust her that much.

On my due date I had an appointment with my doc, it didn't seem like I was progressing so she did a cervix scrap *I think that's what it's called*, which I believe is a type of induction and caused my bloody show later that day and then I went into mild labor for a few days and finally gave birth 4 days after my due date.

2 days. We had our induction scheduled but I am SO GLAD she came on her own. I don't know if I could have handled pitocin induced contractions.

I was induced 41w1d. DS was born 41w2d...so 9 days late. My OB/GYN likes to induce at 41w. I was originally scheduled for induction at 41w0d and 2 hours before I was supposed to check-in they called saying I had to reschedule for the following morning as they had "an influx of laboring mothers". Worst. Day. Ever.
My friend went into labor with her 1st at 40w6d and her 2nd at 41w2d. Both babies came on their own after her OB/GYN set an induction date lol. Maybe that will happen for you!
