My LO got her bottom two teeth early, exactly at 4 months. It's 4 weeks later and it seems like she might be having teething trouble again - she's fussier, constantly gnawing on her hands and drooling, rubbing her face on my shoulder.
How long after his or her first teeth came in did your LO get the next ones?

Right away. She had no teeth at 11 months and by her first bday, she had 6!

Logan got his first four all in one weekend. But the next two didn't show up for a few months.

the two bottom ones pretty much came out together. Then it's been like 1-2 coming out together in 1-2 weeks since!

She got first teeth at 8 months and then constantly until she got her 2 year molars at 22 months!

We are still in the thick of things, but DS got his bottom front two teeth in within 1 week of each other (1 week ago). He is six months today.

My first daughter got 6 teeth in 10 days, then pretty steady after that.
My second daughter got 2 at the same time, and then about a month later got 4 more. I can tell more are starting to come because her poops are nasty!

@MrsB2012: Is poop a sign? I did notice yesterday it seemed really runny but I didn't know there was a connection!

My oldest got her first tooth at four months and then one per month until eight months when she got another four. By one year she had 12 teeth.
My second got one tooth at four months, cut another at five months and just now at eleven months is cutting teeth 3&4.

@Dahlia: I've read it in a few different places that it can be a sign of teething. I don't remember noticing it with my first, but with my second 100%. She gets nasty smelling kind of pasty bm's while she teethes. As soon as the tooth pops through, they go back to normal. It's very weird.

William Sears, pediatrician and author of The Baby Book, disagrees. Sears believes that teething can cause diarrhea and a mild diaper rash because your baby's excessive saliva ends up in his gut and loosens his stools. He also maintains that inflammation in the gums can cause a low fever (rectal temperature of less than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit).

My son got his first two teeth (bottom) two days apart a few days before he turned 5 months. His top two teeth came through 4-5 days apart when he was 7.5 months old. He had teethed on and off for about a month each time until they broke through.

@MrsB2012: OMG, that explains the poops DS has had! I thought it was a flu thing but now that you mention the connection, he just cut his first tooth and then the poo went back to normal. It's smelly and pasty, exactly the same!tha Ka for the connection!

Both of my girls got their teeth way early: bottom 2 at 4 months, all but their 2 year molars by their first birthdays. Made baby led weaning SUPER easy!

@Mrsk: haha I was hoping it was a one time teething thing, but she's got it for all 6 teeth she has cut so far. Yuck!

DD2 is 18 months old and has 12 huge teeth...they all started coming in not long before her first birthday, and came in rapid fire succession. It was not fun!
And yes....Horrific, stinky, foamy poo when DD2 cuts teeth, every time!

@MrsB2012: it's so gross! Something else to look forward to while teething! The 3am wake ups thinking its morning and time to play gave also been lovely
