I've been here 5 months and still no business cards! 
I think they forgot. I'm not sure who takes care of them? Or maybe they only order them x times a year and it hasn't come up yet?

At my old job people got them within the first month!

I got them on my 2nd or 3rd day! But I'm in sales so it was pretty vital that I had them ASAP.

I got them my second semester and they were wrong (correct last name on card, incorrect last name in email).

@pui: yeah that's kinda what I'm thinking bc I don't have daily interaction with clients. But there has been times where it would have been nice to have!

We're in the same field.
At my first job, a very corporate firm, my cards were waiting for me on my first day.
At my second job, a hippy-ish firm, I left for grad school two years in and didn't ever get cards.
At my third job, a small but professional firm, I got cards when my boss was out of her own and orders for the whole office - about six months in. -
I had to order my own but was told to do it after I had been in the new position about two or three weeks.
