We started when LO was 28 months and did a modified 3-day method (basically just went cold turkey on the diapers, except nap and bedtime...but I wasn't strict on the "rules" like no bottoms, etc). By Day 3, we felt comfortable leaving the house with spare clothes in tow, as she got the idea pretty quickly.

We switched over to underwear for naps about a week later (and just risked it with accidents) because she seemed to understand that she *could* pee/poop in her diaper/pull-up/cloth training pants with no repercussion. Once we put her in underpants, that stopped right away.

Still doing diapers at bedtime. She's dry about 2/3 of the time. I'm not in a hurry.

It's been 2 months, and we just had our first, true, accident-free week. Hopefully we're over the hump!

3-day method was successful for us in 2 days for pee. For poop, it took about a month. But he was just past 3. I think he got it sooner because he was older?

We did the 3 day method at 22.5 months? It clicked at day 2 and it was just a matter of telling her to remind us about the potty after. Before then she was whining to sit on the potty and go etc since she saw her friends at daycare use it. She was trained for pee and poo at the same time. I think we caught her at the right time for training since she didn't really have an opinion formed on refusing/fearing poops in the potty like a lot of my friends' kids. I think she was trained completely in a couple weeks and the biggest part was DH and I letting go and trusting that she was trained!

Also, I think some people say they used the 3 day method but they mean they did a boot-camp style training over 3 days with pieces they have gathered on how to train from the internet/e-book, but not necessarily that they read/used the Lora Jensen e-book from cover to cover. I think the e-book itself is really useful since it gives many scenarios.

My sis (SAHM) did slow and steady and my niece was trained in about a month at 26 months.
